National Champion (excluding obscure events like snowshoeing, Mt. Running, ultra runs, military championships and fruit festival racing circuit)
Bill shortly after dropping out of The Just Around Bend Marathon
Mike in the strategic place of 1st no money at the Detroit Marathon. Dudley defeated Raitter's Oct. Marathon record by FOUR Miles - dropping out at 21 miles to Raitter's 17 miles.

Seacow: What did you think of the race?
JD: I was lucky no one good was at the race. I�ve hardly run a step since the Olympic Trials and have gained 28lbs. The race for 1st loser was between me and some other unknown runner, both of us could have qualified for the Clydesdale division.
Seacow: Did you know that the runner that kicked you down is Bill Raitter, founder of the Seacows?
JD: I think I�ve heard of him�Is he the guy that dropped out of the Las Vegas Marathon?
Seacow: Can you describe the race?
JD: It was a very hilly course. I was surprised that the Bill could move that much weight up those hills

Peterson Ridge Run
Cows:Billcow (only one racing)
After entering the dog/person event on a 17 mile training run in what was descibed on the entry form as, "very low key fun event." Billcow needed the high profile win against retired Mt Biker Steve Larson. He dumped the ever curious Guinness dog in the middle of the woods only to be found later by diligent aid station volunteers. The win was contested and Billcow was contacted but refuses to give up his winnings, a free message on the technicality. "You shouldn't follow the rules, running is about the freedom to move like the trees. Afterall, if you cut a course and win, its still a win," Billcow was quoted. After his victory and dog responsiblity Billcow awarded himself by adopting another dog from the Humane Society.
