The Owners: Josie Chanard (SN: Josie in Grey) - Josie is the outspoken owner and proprietor of the Seacliff. A petite redhead, she often believes she's ten feet tall and bulletproof. Not exactly noted for her talents in the areas of tact or ladylike behavior, or for polished social skills, Josie is a decent a person at heart. Josie is married to Sarin Glave; the two tied the knot on May 25th, 2003. She also has a six-month old daughter named Miriel Rose Chanard, but everyone just calls her Ellie. Despite being the younger of the two, Josie often considers Ylla as a little sister and is extremely protective of her. Ylla Shadowmyst (SN: Ylla Shadowmyst) - Ylla is the co-owner of the Seacliff, and takes care of the books (a good thing, as her sister Josie doesn't quite have a head for figures.) Ylla is the wiser and calmer of the two sisters, not to mention being a fully trained healer and midwife. The Tenders: Sarin Glave (SN: Mastr Luke) - Sarin is Josie's husband and the light of her life. Once a warrior by trade, Sarin now runs the bar occassionally and does a bit of weaponsmithing on the side. (In fact, one of his engagement gifts to Josie was a *very* unique sword.) Sarin also has a wolf cub (now not so little anymore) named.. Wolfe. The grey wolf is nearly full grown now, and rarely if ever more than a step or two away from his beloved master. Alari Rehajal (SN: Alari Rehajai) - Alari began her association with the Seacliff as a dancer - an occupation and passion she enjoys to this day. She works now as the inn's manager and head tender but still takes the stage when the mood overtakes her. NPC Staff: (These are characters that aren't played by anyone in particular - they are Josie-mun's creations, so please ask before doing anything with them besides playing that they got your drinks..) Agar - Agar was hired in the spring by Josie to serve a dual role: The night-shift bartender/innkeeper, and to work as the Seacliff's bouncer. Needless to say, with his four arms and imposing size, the Shokan is adept at both roles (even at the same time.) A retired general in his realm's armies, Agar is unfailingly cultured, polite and well-spoken - at odds with his appearance, he is ever the gentleman. Until you cause trouble, that is. He's also a wiz at checkers. Mina - The less said about Mina, the better. She's rarely seen, and that's probably a good thing She is a dear friend of Josie's, and until Agar was hired, Mina was the bouncer. She excelled at it. Norm - A stone golem brought to life by magic, Norm was the night barkeep/innkeeper for a time. However, golems aren't known for being quick (on any level) and Agar took his place. Norm is now happily occupied doing the heavy lifting for the Seacliff, and on the side he likes to do woodcarving. Norm is rarely, if ever, seen. Patrick - Josie's first hire, and the original night-shift barkeep, Patrick is a pleasant young human male of about 25 years of age. Married with no children, Patrick lives in the village a few miles to the west of the Seacliff and works the morning/early afternoon shift for Josie now. Patrick is quite even-tempered and good-natured, and invariably gets along with anyone. Ginny - Affectionately nicknamed "Little Red" by Sarin, Ginny (full name: Virginia Lee Harrington) is a quiet, hardworking girl of fourteen, who lives in the same village as Patrick (about a mile down the west road.) Despite her age, Ginny is relied on heavily by Josie and takes care of the kitchen and often helps out in the Common room of the Tavern. Usually quite shy and reserved, Ginny has a partying streak at large events (such as weddings) and won't hesitate to strong-arm a boy (or a gentleman) into dancing with her. Bill and Tom -William Finley and Thomas Finley (15 and 14, respectively) work in the stables, and are learning their craft while bringing some money home to their large family. Like Ginny and Patrick, the Finley brothers live in the small village about a mile down the road to the west. Both are decent lads, though they are still boys and will get into the sort of scrapes that young lads do. |
