I would like to take a bit of
time to introduce myself to you -- I am Lori L. Hoper and with the support from my husband Troy and a good friend of mine, Chef Peter of Asheville, SeaBreeze Siberians was established in 2001. "Kita" was our very first Siberian Husky, who we bought from a pet shop in May 1998. Yes, when I first started, I wasn't aware of how risky it was to purchase a puppy from a pet shop or from breeder that didn't care about keeping the standards of the breed. In the early days, I did most of my research on the web and was under the impression as most pure breed owners are. "My dog is a pure bred and is registered, therefore, they are top quality for breeding. Oh so not true. It was in the Spring of 2000 that I found Chef, and soon, with his help, I found my way to my first dog show. Unfortunately, as time went by and I learned more about the breed, I found that Nakita was not to breed standard or of show quality. I also found I was lucky to have obtained such a dog with wonderful temperament. Nakita now enjoys the good life, lazing around in the sun and making sure all the others know that she is the Alpha. By now I had been bit by the bug and through more reading, doing research on the internet, and talking to different breeders at shows, the hunt was on to find a Siberian to show. Through my searching, I found Liz Demartino and Diane Spendle of Trillium Blue Siberians. With their guidance and support I now have a bitch of their lines. KeyKey is now making herself at home here in Jacksonville, Florida. I would like to thank Liz and Diane for all their encouragement, advice, putting up with all my silly questions and for entrusting this outstanding dog to my care. In May 2004, SeaBreeze Siberians is proud to welcome a new comer, "Frankie" ~ a Siberian Husky from breeder Sheri L. Wright (Bralin Siberians).
