Seabreeze's 24 Countdown
I love 24, but not as much as a ton of other people.  Not that it's a bad thing!  :)  Kiefer's the man!  It only took 6 days before Cherubino caught on to my "countdown."  I thought no one would notice until we got within 10.  Everyone else learned, knew, and followed.
THE COUNTDOWN
Wow! That's amazing, iME! While it only took me "29" seconds to figure that out, it's not something that I think of everyday. That means if someone was born in 1973, and had a kid in 1978, when they're 78, their kid will be 73.

Good luck with the interview, kschica! Like I've been saying for at least "28" times before: "Trying unsuccessfully is better than not trying at all."

This week is like 50/50 for me. Shit happens during the week, and I'm swamped, but the Cubs winning makes up for everything. I hope that they go all the way, because the last thing I need is another "27" years added to the 95-year curse that Chicago has.

Man, why do I have to be up this morning? It's like "26" degrees outside! To make matters worse, someone actually turned on the sprinklers, and I almost got hit!

I think I injured my shoulder "25" times in the past two years, including right now. I can't ever catch a break!

Ditto to the Giants fans. Not the best news to hear about on a Saturday morning. Well, I would try to enjoy the weekend and enjoy "24" hours of Football. It always helped me whenever I was not in the best of moods.

I almost agree with SimonAndOn It's not 26; it's "23" and over when it's "officially" hot.

Ah they're rich they'll buy what they want

...why are we (locals) having to wait more than "22" years for "One For the Thumb?" I mean, we blew it. Our streak is gone, our record of being undefeated in the division since the new division setup? Also gone. On our home turf. And my team is no longer leading the division, and we might not win it (which is the only thing that will get us into post-season). And it was...against the......

Finally found my pictures that I thought were lost the day after getting them developed. I think I ought to frame the one I took with Kelly and Jon from The Amazing Race Convention. And for good laughs, I should also frame the one that I took as a joke that says, "Anyone under the age of "21" caught gambing will be arrested!" This was on one of my friends' behalf, who turned 21 last May and that couldn't gamble two years ago when he was at Vegas.

Yesterday's MNF rocked. Manning pulled a Testaverde and that's what makes MNF the best. football. program. ever. When you turn around a team, get fired, and the credit goes to Grudin for winning the big game (despite Sapp saying that it was Dungy as the real leader the whole time), you're probably going to be bitter when you're down "21" to nothing. But, to Dungy, revenge isn't just about beating your former employer, but by doing so in such painful fashion. Never has a team been down "21" points with 4 minutes to play and ended up winning. However, Grammatica tried to win off of the second longest distance for a field goal, but to no avail.

Of course, the greatest MNF games aren't complete unless it's overtime, with a field goal victory. Of course it goes to the Colts, and on the road, after losing the toss for possession in Overtime.

I think one would say that this is the new champion on the greatest MNF games, knocking off the Miami/NY Jets game three years ago. I don't know. It's like 50/50 for me. Vinnie did it in one quarter after being down 23 points. Then when he caught up, Miami scored again, but then the NY Jets followed up with another TD. This one happened with four minutes remaining, and the Colts were down by 14, then "21", then 14, and then by "21" again, so they had a chance throughout the second half, whereas the Jets' chances were very, very grim.

Sorry for the rant, but Monday Night Football rocks!

Wow, it's Wednesday, and with one day removed from this election thing, we now have a "Kindergarten" Governor. Seriously, you take today, add a year, and then go back "20" years ago, would there be a soul in the world that would put money on Arnold being the governor of California? Anyone? I didn't think so.

Well, it was bound to happen. I guess we'll see how this thing plays out.

Good morning everybody! There are six things to remember:
It's Thirsty Thursday, a.k.a. it's almost the weekend!
 Christmas is in 77 days
It's almost 2004; can you believe it
2004 won't be totally different from 2003, thank to "19" Entertainment programming following and sometimes pre-emting 24
If there were only "19" letters in the alphabet, Kiefer's name would not be messed with in any way, shape, or form
Ulysses S. Grant in relation to the fifth thing to remember

When the clock struck midnight, it was officially Free Beer Friday. "18" hours later, a drunken SeaBreeze informs all Cafe "patrons" that this 24 Fanatic is alive and well, on: Free Beer Friday. When it's playoff season, the wait isn't stressful. When it's the weekend during playoff season, you have college football and NFL football to help let the good times roll. And when it's playoff season, the other two big sports start their seasons and runs for the World Title. Just think, while our patience could "wear" thin, there are six days in which we can do sit back, relax, not have to listen to your "higher-ups" while about whatever, drink, smile, sleep, and let the good times roll.

Man, I really should be leaving to go tailgating, pregamin' and what not for my Pitt/Notre Dame game. I'm busy hearing rants on the radio here on how Stevie Nicks' "Stand Back" makes her other hit "Edge of "17" look underrated. Big deal! They're both great 80s tunes. Anything that comes out in the 80s (for the most part) is considered great music, and always will be! Anyway, I've got a few things to do, then I'm out.

My respect has built for Justin over the years. He was better than his old group, and while I thought of him nothing big when he was "16" he obviously improved over the years. That's in every aspect, from music to acting to being funny.

Here's a "poem" that I just remembered that I first heard almost "15" years ago. It really doesn't rhyme, but not all poems do.

Murder is in the air
Under the temple of
Ra
Death Awaits
On the final
Curtain

There were "14" games this weekend in addition to yesterday's. Of course, it's a crappy game yesterday so I don't watch. Well, the curse I have (the one where episodes are decent when I don't watch and where they suck if I do) continues, because that was such a blowout in St. Louis' favor. Next week's game will be interesting; I think I'll tune in.

That being said, only "13" more days until the third season of 24 starts. Oh, before I forget, how come a ton of hotels and big business buildings jump up from the 12th floor all the way to the 14th floor? Just something that's been on (or used to in the past quite often) my mind.

Anyway, let's cheer up! And that could be a foreshadowing to tonight as well. However, the holidays are coming up, and so are a lot of other things! I even have the "12" Days of Christmas song in my head, which inspired me to make up another song that isn't as good as the "12" Days of Christmas song.

On the 1st day of Waiting, I counted down the days

A Kiefer in our T.V.

4 different Palmers, 3 years and running, 2 seasons gone, And a Kiefer in our T.V.

Well, there it is! Waiting is the hardest part, moreso that waiting for the Cubs, the Steelers, and whomever else to make it to/win the big one.

Thanks guys!

Seven games. "11" Innings. The threat of a Yanks WS win meaning the end of the Steelers. No Cubs in the WS despite being at home. No Sox in the WS thanks to NY being at home. Marlins having to face the team that they didn't have to face in 1997. I'm gonna go with the Yankees. My time in New York was the best ever. I love New York.

All bets are off: Yanks are going to destroy the Marlins within the next three weeks.

If they don't, I wouldn't mind seeing them down by 13 runs. I'd love to see them catch up from that. Actually, make that 15!

Bummer. Had a great dream that I received "10" sets of 11-dollar bills, which had Eisenhower on them. I guess that's what happens when I get a bunch of 2 and New20-Dollar bills. Oh well, but it would have been great to have an 11-dollar bill.

Good morning. It feels great to get "9" hours of sleep on a Sunday where you don't have to watch your team get beat on again. Finally I can get a lot done today. Also, the WS is so-so.

Other than that, I believe the World Series is tied 1-1, no surprise. And SNL sucked this past weekend. Sometimes, I think we actually need more Darrell. His Arnold sucks, but it wouldn't hurt to bring in Clinton. He's basically past Kevin Nealon and Phil Hartman in being a Repertory Player on SNL since he's already put in "8" years on the show. Now he's targeting Tim Meadow's record for being on the show for the longest period. Al Franken doesn't really count. Well, fortunately, there will be a break this week before another three weeks of possible SNL crap hits us

Speaking of the 80s, remember 80s Pop Star Prince and his "newer" songs? While I'm a 1999, U Got The Look, Let's Go Crazy, Little Red Corvette and even Batdance kind of person, I actually enjoyed his later tunes, from Diamonds and Pearls, to "7" & and then to Cream, and to Thieves in the Temple. Hard to believe it took 8 years to actually realize that Seven was a song about his birthday.

Is it me, or do I need help since I think of Kiefer everytime I eat Kix in the morning?

If you've seen this MacGyver episode:

4-9: "Cleo Rocks" 1989.02.06

...you probably didn't have a problem getting my first two clues. :)

Also, micke was right on point, the numbers correspond to the letters of the alphabet. That was definately a nice twist.

Those names are really hilarious. I could name all of the ones that actually exist that was brought up at work, and these folks actually survived for 18 years or so. Imagine being in your final "6" years of school, where the worst of the "insults" and what not will occur. It's probably worse than anything else that I can think of when it comes to everyone making fun of everyone.

Edit: My clue that I posted here is pretty lame. Kix reminding me of Kiefer. Ha ha. Kiefer's last name begins with an S, and if you drop the K (the first letter of Kiefer's name) from Kix and add the S, you get six.

[American Pie Shermanator]I get it. Haha.[/APS]

Man, I have "5" days to try and figure out how my little 24 Prediction Game is going to go. I'll take any suggestions, because that could make a difference.

That took only "4" seconds! After all the thinking, it was that easy. Thanks, LT!

Seabreeze, cannot wait till I see "0" in your posts!!! Bring. It. On. Fox.

Neither can I. However, -1 might be a tad better. LOL ;)

Very good essay. Better than mine, definately. And I had to edit mine "3" times, all of which really didn't help.

Congratulations AuntiePen! Holy cow...15??? Mrfan and I only have 2..that's what I get for being an only and him only having one brother, I guess! hee!

Well, that's "2" more than me, fan!

It was indeed odd hearing a quiet stadium at the end of the WS. In the past, whenever the Yanks had won, there was always a quiet stadium. Of course, I never thought it would happen in New York. The good thing about the series ending is that other TV shows won't be in reruns. So, there are more than one positive points that the Yanks won only "2" games out of 6.

Just give me "1" second, and I'll get something good on here...

Part One of Two

While it's impossible to post a countdown every hour, I'll try to make mention whenever I get a chance.

Hi, fan! The Fixx called. You've been Saved by "0" LOL ;)

We all have been. We were all suffering from a lack of KTuesdays, but we've been rescued from that, because we have to wait zero days for the return of KTuesdays.

To be continued...
CATCHING ON!!
23

I ::heart:: SeaBreeze's countdown!

22

Im starting to feel like you guys are speaking in a different language, WRT all the baseball talk. I am more and more baffled. What is with the bolded and quoted descending numbers? Are you speaking some kind of code?

Steph the descending numbers are Seabreeze's way of counting down the days until S3 premier on October 28th. He just uses the number in other things. And I ::heart:: him for it! Makes me giggle to see how he will work it in each day!

21

(And I can think of at least 21 reasons why SeaBreeze tickles me. At least...)

20

SeaBreeze, I can think of at least 20 reasons to ::heart:: you!

Show of hands... How many people were waiting anxiously for SeaBreeze's post?

*raises hand re: daily SeaBreeze post anticipation*

I was waiting for SeaBreeze's post myself. Brightened my day.

18

And yes, I'm stomping my foot impatiently because I'm still waiting for seabreeze's post of the day. Or did I miss it? Going to have a quick GoldenGlow and then go back and check.

eta: Yay, SeaBreeze is in the house! All is right in our little Kafe world.

14

Could it be? Is it? Only two weeks until the premiere??? I ::heart:: you, SeaBreeze for the entertaining countdown.

13

Oh, before I forget, how come a ton of hotels and big business buildings jump up from the 12th floor all the way to the 14th floor?

I think it has to do with the "unlucky" stigma attached to number 13. Which makes me wonder how that happened in the first place.

Oh, before I forget, how come a ton of hotels and big business buildings jump up from the 12th floor all the way to the 14th floor?
I think it has to do with the "unlucky" stigma attached to number 13. Which makes me wonder how that happened in the first place.

It is because of the superstition, but I don't think any particular event triggered it. The superstition covers many countries, too, as you will rarely find a house number or hotel room 13 in England or France. (Japan has a similar deal with the number 4.)

12

First off, BWAAAAHHHHH! to the wonderful SeaBreeze. Thanks for putting in all that effort -- was I the only one that sang through the entire song while reading his post? No? I thought not.

SeaBreeze, bravo! I loved the 12 days of waiting! Very inspired. I don't know about wanting a Kiefer in my tv. I was thinking more along the lines of in my lap, or, y'know.....

BWAH! SeaBreeze is the best! Ahloveitahloveitahloveit!

Loved the alternative 12 days, SeaBreeze! Can't wait to see what's next.

seabreeze, you set a new standard with the 12 days rendition, and yes I did sing the whole thing through.

Seabreeze, thank you for that song!

a standing ovation for SeaBreeze, the hardest-working man in the countdown biz for his musical masterwork 'The 12 Days of 24' earlier today (er, yesterday -- what.evah! -- and props for the countdown everyday; ahhh... loveitahloveitahloveitahloveitahloveit!)...

10

Seabreeze, the 11 dollar bill is a great idea, and your picture should be on it. Think of how handy it would be for all the items that cost $9.99 plus tax.

7

This totally cracks my shit up (I believe that is a Dr. Funk TM, yes?), in a major way! Seabreeze, you RAWK with those! Hee! (Took me a second, buy I saw it!)

*hunts for hints of a certain number in SeaBreeze's post*
*fails miserably*

Did I miss something? Am I totally dense?

Cheribuno, see the first letter in each sentence of the poem? Read them top to bottom!

Good one, Seabreeze!

seabreeze makes me proud to be a native of the 'burgh.

I bow down before the greatness that is seabreeze.

Speaking of which, I bow down to seabreeze coolness.

seabreeze, you make my head hurt.... in a good way. I got all of them except for the last where my answer was 138... it's frustrating to know what the answer is supposed to be and then come up with something in a different universe.

ETA: Nevermind. Order of operations, order of operations..... and I had managed to follow it for the others. 14

3 + (8 * 2) = 19

(3 * 4) 7 = 5

4 + 5 2 + (3 * 5) = 22

6 + 7 + 6 * 2 20 = 5

62 - (9 + 7) * 3 = 14

Eeep! What does it mean?

*joins list of those puzzled by SeaBreeze's latest teaser*. Btw, I got the same answers as faninohio

s is the 19th letter of the alphabet

e is the fifth letter

etc

Nice curve ball, SeaBreeze.

D'oh! Oh.................makes so much sense now! What a dweeb I am! Man, hats off to you Seabreeze!!

What ajra said, SeaBreeze!

Seabreeze, you're fine. It's also very normal to think of him when one eats Special K, or Corn Pops.

seabreeze, loved the Kix thing! Hee! And micke that song was fanfuckingtastic!

4

Seabreeze, cannot wait till I see "0" in your posts!!! Bring. It. On. Fox.

Bahaha. I stole the code and made graphics for a little counter thing so now I can cheat at SeaBreeze's countdown.

3

Seabreeze...good one! Sly, very sly! hee!

One of these days, I want to go back and catch up (am really sad to be missing SeaBreeze's countdown, for a big instance) but, in the meantime, I'll be scarce but just wanted y'all to know that I'm thinking of you. (Yep, you too, waiter.) And I'll be in and out.

2

**anxiously awaits for a Seabreeze post!!!**

1

taps foot...where is Seabreeze?

Worth the wait. Too funny.

And at least I got to see "1" of SeaBreeze's recent countdown entries.

0

Hey, Seabreeze, I am having "0" tolerance for your lack of countdownness today!
I LOVE YOU GUYS!
Conclusion

Day 0 of Anticipation, Speculation, and Procrastination: 8:00:00 9:00:00 EST somewhere

Ive been here for quite a while now, and I really am amazed at the respect and kindness everyone has here.  Its gotten to the point where my respect and love for all of you has grown and passed up my real and best friends.  Hopefully Im present when we all get together.  Id love to see you all down in Pittsburgh, but my pro team isnt doing so well.  Fortunately, PITT is doing quite well, despite losing to Toledo the way they did.

Whatever happens in life, theres 0 chance that Im going to be unable to KIT the best way I know.  You all rock!

I thank you for the good word and Im glad to know that the daily posts in anticipation for tonight was bigger than I ever thought they would be.  I hope that everyone stays well, and SEBIV and SGUH to everyone, especially those who need it based on business, recreation, and personal livelihood.

Well, I hope that we all enjoy the season.  Hell, I know we will.  Im happy, because 24 is back, and Season Three is here!  Peace!

The End
