| SNL REVIEWS | ||||||||||||||||
| I have a lot of reviews that I've done so far this year. After six months of the existence of this new thread, I have make time to put them in its own separate page. Well, on this page is one of many. Enjoy | ||||||||||||||||
| Christina Aguilera/Maroon 5 | ||||||||||||||||
| HARDBALL: Very good as usual! Darrell's Arnold seemed to be a lot better than before, and that's basically because of his lines MONOLOGUE: This is pretty fair, and it was nice to see Lorne again. IMO, it comes as no surprise that Lorne's pretty funny whenever he shows up. SEX AND THE CITY: Like the show itself, this will become old news. No surprise with that! This wasn't too good, but it wasn't completely bad either. DO YOU KNOW WHO MY FATHER IS: This sucked, and even Seth couldn't save this. That'll happen, no matter how great of a show we're expected to get. TV FUNHOUSE Well, at least it wasn't the one from the Tom Green Episode from years back. WOMEN'S WEEK All I really can say about this is that sketches won't bomb on normal terms so as long as Darrell brings back one of his classic (and decent) impressions MUSIC: Not bad, I guess WEEKEND UPDATE: It looks as if we're back in time here, where WU was short, jokes were pretty funny, and it wasn't dragged out due to one correspondent. Just like the Colin Quinn days! Really these past couple of seasons has made Seasons 24 and 25 look extremely decent. They were actually great seasons, but while they were airing, they weren't that great. Anyway, with Forte, this was basically one of the better updates of the season. DANCING IN THE STREET: It's like other dancing segments, but this one made all of the other ones look good. WHERE'S TRACY WHEN YOU NEED HIM? I would have preferred seeing another Versace skit than this. At least we got Ozzy and family out of it. Speaking of Versace, I just thought of how Horatio has three recurring bits on Versace (this one as well as Elton and Rosie), so I guess this was a half-decent replacement. SOMETHING: This sucked, but it's been a great show for the most part. SOME RERUN: As the title says FIRING SANDY: Ladies and Gentlemen! Our hero, our savior, and our future: Will Forte! MUSIC: See whatever I put for music earlier. THE LAST SEGMENT: Fortunately, with this, SNL is going on break, and so am I, because it's a pain to recap a bunch of things when there are so many other things going on. At least the weather kind of sucked, which gave me some time to get it all done. Now it's time to stay ahead of the game for the remaining 7 episodes, which should run in a 3-2-2 format. Overall, this episode was about a B. Like some have said earlier, Christina was funnier than the show itself. Nice. Hopefully we'll get similar vibes from the remaining seven hosts which are slated to appear on the following dates: March 13, 20, 27, April 17 & 24, and May 8 & 15. That's the review. Later! |
