SNL REVIEWS
I have a lot of reviews that I've done so far this year.  After six months of the existence of this new thread, I have make time to put them in its own separate page.  Well, on this page is one of many.  Enjoy
Andy Roddick/Dave Matthews
After a couple crappy shows, I finally have the will power to do a complete recap and to get it in on time!  Woo hoo!

Tribute to Rod Roddy

This guy was a great announcer.  For real, everything positive has already been mentioned about Rod.  I really didnt give a damn on what Jimmy did at Rods expense, but it doesnt change the fact that Rod will be missed, and was always in a great mood whenever he did his announcing.  He wasnt as energetic during his final years, and its now obvious why.

Sports

PITT is dominating in the Big East, and thats pretty much all the positives on sports on my end.  And how long will Kansas City be undefeated?

My Game

2003 really is flying by very rapidly.  Fortunately its affecting the SNL season.  Also, its affecting the SNL PG.  A quarter of the season has come and gone, which means its time for the awards outlook and other stuff pertaining to the game.  If you havent played the game, you still can, and youll also have a better chance of ranking high at the end if you start now.

The Show

There cant possibly be three straight bad shows, can there?

On with the review!

20/20

Great stuff.  While Amys impression of Martha was nowhere as good as Anas, at least its not like its a recurring bit.  At least for now thats the case.  While Amys impression of Martha was nowhere as good as Anas, at least Rachels impression of Barbara Walters was right on point.

98/100

MONOLOGUE

Another audience thing, and the second in as many shows

70/100

CRYOGENIX

This sucked.

50/100 Original Score * 2 for pity reasons

Z105

Again, SNL goes back to pimping Fallon by putting him in this now recurring bit that hasnt surfaced in over a year.  Of course, it sucked, but at least it was Jimmys only appearance sans WU.

40/100

BATTLE OF THE SEXES II

Whenever people impersonate the Williams sisters, it turns into comedy gold.  But Darrell really needs to go back to his recurring impressions.  And Fred can join Horatio when Horatio gets fired, for all I care

80/100

MRS. DALRYMPLE

I could care less for Parnell, but whenever he makes fun of himself and the characters hes playing, its comedy gold.  Other than that, YAWN!

65/100

RECAP OF MRS. DALRYMPLE

Thank you!

100/100

OATES AND HALL

So close, and so far away from me actually tuning out of this man-eating show.  I was thinking that I could give this skit a decent grade, but I cant go for that.  Yeah, it has Forte and Armisen, and yes they often bring the funny, but no can do.  Just cant do it.  Not.  Gonna. Do it.

Its unfortunate that SNL couldnt make my dreams come true by writing a Hall and Oates sketch that I enjoyed.  It was a great sketch, but it wasnt all that funny and definitely could have been better.  Therefore, an A grade is out of touch, and Im out of time, which means its time to review the next segment.

88/100

CRAP

This bit may actually lead me to hoping that Andy joins Chevy and Martin on being in the black book of people who cant host the show anymore.

0/100

AND NOW HERE IS TONIGHTS VERY SPECIAL MUSICAL GUEST

Dave was just average.  Thats it.

75/100

SATURDAY NIGHT NEWS

I think Im going to add something to my game where one will guess whether or not Horatio shows up at the Update desk.  Its getting pretty old.

Thank God for Tim Calhoun.  Will Forte should really be carrying the cast since hes pretty damn funny.  Unfortunately, SNL decides to pimp Fallon and Horatio, which may be a factor as to why the show sucks now.

83/100

TENNIS TALK

While Maya did nothing here, the Andre impressions were pretty good.

99/100

MERV THE PERV

When this last came on, people were complaining on how Chris was channeling Will Ferrell too much.  But this is funny, and whatever it takes to make SNL funny is good with me.  Unfortunately, like last time, this surfaced too late.

100/100

MUSIC

85/100

JOCK TALK

John should have hosted the show.  He basically was the only thing that was consistently good tonight.

74/100

ACTION NEWS 13

This started out funny, but it just died down at the end.  I kind of wished they had cut this off midway for time purposes.  I probably would have awarded this with a better grade.  Otherwise, it was good for the most part.  Since the technical difficulties from a few years ago starring Will and Ana was channeled by this, I enjoyed this.

95/100 original score plus 15 for this making up for most of the other stuff

Total: 1202
Average: 75.125

This show was about average.  There were some funny things, and then there were some other things that just sucked.  IMO, it was about 50/50 in good and bad.
