| SNL REVIEWS | ||||||||||||||
| I have a lot of reviews that I've done so far this year. After six months of the existence of this new thread, I have make time to put them in its own separate page. Well, on this page is one of many. Enjoy | ||||||||||||||

| Well, this is the second-to-last show. Whew! As usual, I gotta do the tribute. MISTER. FRED ROGERS I'm glad to see that I'm far from being the only one who loved Mr. Rogers. It hit me pretty hard (probably harder than most) when he died on February 27. Being from the same area of Pennsylvania, it's a big blow when someone, especially someone as nice as Mr. Rogers, passes away. I met him, no joke, 20 years ago, and he was so kind, that he made other kind people I knew look not so kind. I've run into him and conversed several times between then and now, but despite not actually being the best of friends with him, he was always a friend to me, and I always respected him. Now that he's gone, the world is a sadder place. Mr. Rogers will forever be considered one of my best friends. If there's anyone that deserves to go to Heaven, it's him. "Any man's death diminishes me." - John Doone Goodbye Mr. Rogers. We all love you and you will be missed by everyone. MOVIES: X2 rocked, Matrix Reloaded will rock, and Catch Me If You Can kicked ass on DVD. The deleted scenes were omitted from the special features, but Ill live. And now, the review: AMERICAN IDOL This will definitely get a lot of points, because not only was it not a political opening, it was right on point. You have to know the show in order to find this funny. Of course, if you still found this funny, then more power to you! I cant give it 100 since Josh didnt get whacked. Hey, I dont want Josh to die; its a skit! 95/100 MONOLOGUE Nice that he brought the parents, but I wasnt feeling the Horatio kissing thing, considering there was something similar last week, courtesy of Chris Parnell and Ashton Kutcher. 83/100 MOM JEANS Hey, the seasons almost over! Yay! 60/100 BRIAN FELLOWS SAFARI PLANET Well, at least this is the last one, and thats a shame, because these are probably better than Tracys new sitcom is going to be. Right now Im leaning toward the possibility that Tracy will not matter two years from now. 50/100 DATE CRAP Ditto, but since I didnt die watching this 68/100 LIVE WITH REGIS AND KELLY Boy did this rock, compared to everything else today. I hope Amy returns for another season, because while she gets so much airtime, its worth it, unlike Jimmy and Horatio. 100/100 CARTOON You just never know with these bizarre sketches. Its just one of those what the hell in a good way cartoons. 90/100 AND NOW HERES TONIGHTS VERY SPECIAL MUSICAL GUEST I think the only reason as to why Im reviewing this is because of the crazy out of nowhere intro to this. Why do I care anyway? The seasons almost over, and when it returns, hopefully Ill be ready for dealing with going out on Fridays and Saturdays, watching the show, doing a review, the picks game, and in addition, watching FOOTBALL! Apparently Sundays are going to be full of stuff to do that I may have to take off every other Monday from work and relax. Otherwise, Im gonna pass out before I can make it to Monday Night Football. 75/100 out of respect SATURDAY NIGHT NEWS Wow, Jimmys back to throwing the pencil. Along with the Carson Daly joke, this wasnt too good. 68/100 LENSMASTERS [David Spade]I liked this the first time that I saw thiswhen it was calledJefferys![/DAS] 49/100 BALLROOM DANCING FOR BEGINNERS Gabes back! I could care less for Horatio and Tracy dancing together, but Freds character doesnt ever break the sketch. Itll be 2007 when I get sick of Gabe, assuming Im still watching the show by then, which I wont be. 97/100 MUSIC Did anyone watch the Andrew Dice Clay episode of SNL during the overnight airing of SNL? That was great stuff, and while watching it again, it reminded me of how great SNL used to be. Hey, SNL may not be all that bad, but I must say that I laughed a lot more back in the day drug-free (Weekend Update inside joke). 0/100 WTF: Names for Porn Movies This wasnt a bad sketch for the last sketch, but it wasnt all that good. I think this and the music should have switched places. It would have saved me time in my life, so that I can tally up the SNL PG Results. Im looking forward to next weeks results tallying, except not. Knowing me, the stuff probably wont surface until July, when no ones around. Itll still be on my webpage, which will always be under construction. To rephrase that, its ready for viewing, but theres always stuff to be done with it. 82/100 Average was 70.54 which means it was an average show. Regis rocked and so did the cold opening. However, the music sucked, but since I dont know the people, thats at least my opinion. Seeing as how SNLS cold openings arent ever cut from 86-94 and 98 to the present, my guess is that theyll replace the cold opening with something else. Thats the review. Thanks for reading. Bye. |
