SNL REVIEWS
I have a lot of reviews that I've done so far this year.  After six months of the existence of this new thread, I have make time to put them in its own separate page.  Well, on this page is one of many.  Enjoy
Bernie Mac / Good Charlotte
With Bernie Mac hosting, it feels great that the show may be great again (not that it was totally bad) now that a black host is hosting again.  Yeah, Queen Latifah hosted last month, but to have two African-American hosts in the same season makes up for 2000-2002.

MISTER. FRED ROGERS

I'm glad to see that I'm far from being the only one who loved Mr. Rogers. It hit me pretty hard (probably harder than most) when he died on February 27. Being from the same area of Pennsylvania, it's a big blow when someone, especially someone as nice as Mr. Rogers, passes away. I met him, no joke, 20 years ago, and he was so kind, that he made other kind people I knew look not so kind. I've run into him and conversed several times between then and now, but despite not actually being the best of friends with him, he was always a friend to me, and I always respected him.

Now that he's gone, the world is a sadder place. Mr. Rogers will forever be considered one of my best friends. If there's anyone that deserves to go to Heaven, it's him.

Goodbye Mr. Rogers. We all love you and you will be missed by everyone.

THE BEST NEWS OF THE WEEK

Bernie Mac is hosting!

NCAA

The only #1 seeded team that I chose not to advance to the Final Four in the biggest of the contest I participated in advanced to the Final Four.  Good thing Syracuse beat Texas!  I can enjoy the week now.

MY GAME

I havent even started to tally this up.  However, Im glad that all the regulars got their picks in this time around.  The only thing that I dont like is how the MVP is being decided.  I focused on the people who participated in the most of the games having the advantage, and not the people who didnt participate in the most of the games having the disadvantage.  Ill probably end up recognizing both sides, though.

THE SHOW

Bernie Mac is the star tonight.  If SNL is smart, they would have let him write at least half of the stuff.  Bernie is funnier than the writers on the show.

And now, the review

BUSH

Im going to give this a 75.  I didnt see all of it, but I would have given the same score for other reasons anyway.

75/100

MONOLOGUE

This was great stuff, and it put all other monologues (and that includes Walkens) to shame.  It wasnt too short, and it wasnt too long.

100/100

BOSTON TEENS

These arent too bad, but I dont understand why, out of all the other shows, it shows up on a show a black guy hosts.  I cant wait until the end of the review where I try to pick the stuff that looks like it was written by Bernie Mac.

85/100

THE GAME SHOW

This happened to be the point in which I actually had to laugh at the concept of Jimmy and Horatio being in this sketch.  I also had to laugh at the fact that a blind person would assume that Darrell was doing his Regis impression and getting some airtime.

95/100

COMMERCIAL

This was not written by Bernie; otherwise, they wouldnt have Will trying to dance.

65/100 = original score plus about 30 more points for showing some sympathy.

THE PIANIST

I really dont have any comment, nor do I have an alternative title for this, and I shouldnt grade this.  All I can say is, Where was the peanut M&M guy?

70/100

AND NOW HERE IS TONIGHTS VERY SPECIAL MUSICAL GUEST!

Its crap.  Crap.  Crap.  Mega crap.

60/100 = original score plus 55 so that it doesnt kill the overall rating for this show.

SATURDAY NIGHT NEWS

The jokes really didnt make me laugh, but at least Tina said that they all sucked in the first place.  However, Ive gotta give points for the return of Drunk Girl.  The country thing saved this.

80/100

THREE STOOGES

This is around the part of the review in which I dont care anymore.  Im tired, my car sucks, losing an hour doesnt help, and the weather dropped again.  The only reason why I scored this sketch as high as I did was because if I wasnt tired, Id probably explain why I the score was double what Id normally give to something like this.  On a completely different note, the tribute to Mr. Rogers will be apart of my reviews for the remainder of the season.

90/100

THE SMOKING BAN

I believe that if I were the guy making the rules, there would be a lot of things that I do before banning smoking in bars.  Okay, dont smoke in a bar; more time to drink, and more power to you!  But this was classic or common Jimmy, when he couldnt find anything to do with his hands.  Speaking of Jimmy, for a second, I thought that they were going to pull off another Bloater Brothers skit, until I recognized Amy.

70/100

SECOND TIME AROUND

The only great thing about these are Mayas lack of breaking character and her voice.

80/100

RERUN

I actually had to give a LOL for the fact that Amy acted like a normal mother, and then used her kids to clean up crap.  Just great.

95/100

SADDAM

Wonderful, well written stuff.  I cant help but to think that Horatios the right person for Saddam, and not guys like Hammond, Kattan, Kroeger, Piscopo, Breuer, Koechner, Ferrell, Fallon, or Hartman.  The bomb thing made the sketch even more watchable.  Its one of those sketches that really dont have a plot or a theme that can save SNL.

100/100

MUSIC

It sucked.  American Idol finalists are even better than this nonsense.

0/100

DON BANKS

When Dean showed up, I thought it was some bigtime black guy, but then who wouldnt.  Nice mentions of everyone.

100/100

AVERAGE 77.67

The show was watchable.  I probably would have reviewed it better had I been more attentive.  I hate spring forward time.  Ill probably touch it up when it airs again in the summer, or sooner than that.  Anyway

See you next time.
