Richard vs. Ray
Richard Dawson vs. Ray Combs.  What can I say?!  Both versions and hosts were great.  The differences became obvious as time went on between 1988 and today.

Richard had the better music, Ray had the better set, the laughter from Richard's version came from his sarcasm, while the laughter from Ray's version came from his jokes.  All was well in the family feud world.

Other comparisons:

Whenever someone won control for a question, in Richard's version, you were given the option to play or pass, while on Ray's version, you had to take the question.

While a family was trying to uncover the remaining answers, their opponents got into a huddle and came up with several possible answers in the event that they'd earn a chance to steal.  On V 2.0, they just stood there and came up with their own answers.  However, Ray would start from the anchor and work his way up, getting every family member's answers before a decision had to be made.

There are so many, that I'll have to come back to put them here some other day.
