THE BIG MOVE
On the move.... In the mid 70's SeaTac was being enlarged.
Al & Fay went over and looked at some of the homes for sale. They liked the looks of this one and bought it for $17,000. That included it being "BARGED" over and moved on the lot. What a deal! We don't see that kind of thing this day and age... Fay watch for weeks waiting for their home to come floating around Hazel Point. Al & Fay where surprised at the number of homes being barged down Hoods Canal. She must not have been home on the BIG day, because no pictures of it on the barge can be found.
In the last picture you can see the Brick House. The Little Pink House is off
to the bottom left corner of the brick house. By-the-way, this was not the first house they moved.
But that is another story. I hope to construct and link "The Life and Times of Al & Fay Rostad" in the near future.
