Reported by Jim Boz

The main event of the night saw Hornblower defending the World title against the number one contender, Cardinal Yeomans. After making their entrance first, Hornblower took the opportunity to thank his management team for helping him achieve his recent run of success. Upon hearing this, Cardinal Yeomans came out and, as you may expect, he had a verbal dig at Hornblower and N+L PLC. Once all the talking was done however, the action began with a knuckle lock and it was Cardinal who fared better on this initial exchange as he broke free of the grip and then swept Hornblowers legs from underneath him. Horn then dusted himself down and once again locked hands with Yeomans. Nonetheless, Yeomans once again broke his grip. Cardinal then went for the leg sweep one more time but, this time, Hornblower knew what to expect, thus he jumped over the attempted sweep and then nailed Yeomans with a drop kick to the back.

The offence of Horn then continued with a clothesline and a big drop kick but, much to the fans displeasure, Cardinal then stemmed the Horn attack with an illegal low blow. Cardinal then attempted to go up top but Natasha Rider thwarted his efforts by preventing him from accessing the table and then nailing Yeomans with a high cross body from the top herself. This gave Hornblower the chance to reassume control and it looked like he was going to do so after he nailed Yeomans with a scoop slam. However, Cardinal once again used an illegal low blow to save himself. Following on from this, Yeomans delivered a suplex to Horn and then attempted to go up top again. Once more however, Natasha Rider thwarted Cardinals plan as she flew at him with a high cross body. Nevertheless, Cardinal was ready for her this time and thus he was able to catch Natasha, nail her with a back breaker and then throw her to the outside.

With Rider now disposed of and Linzi in no condition to help (she was on crutches due to being assaulted by Thanatos at Outrage) Yeomans was able warm to his task: he laid into Hornblower with a clothesline, several closed fists and a face smash. After then taking blower down with a deep arm drag, Yeomans scored a near fall, Cardinal could feel that things were going his way until, Hornblower demonstrated his intestinal fortitude. Blower mounted a comeback by utilising a hard knock down and a textbook suplex but then disaster struck, Hornblower took too long to get to the top and was subsequently thrown from the table by Cardinal. With the ex P.I shaken, Yeomans was able to deliver his trademark manoeuvre, the monkey flip DDT. Cardinal then went to the top and came flying off with a splash onto the prone body of Hornblower, Cardinal then made the cover and the referee counted 1-2-

But, before the official could get to the count of three, Dave Daniels music sounded out and a bemused Yeomans made his way to isle to see what was going on. Soon, Dave Daniels made his entrance and reminded all of us that he was the mystery voice that had been blackmailing Cardinal a few Volumes ago. Dave then stated that he never actually revealed Yeomans secret during that time, and he was here tonight to put that right. Despite the protests of Cardinal, Daniels then informed the world that while undergoing religious training, Yeomans got drunk and had sex with an Asda college in the ladies toilets at JBs. Damage done, Dave left ringside, leaving Cardinal to walk straight into a super kick from the now recovered Hornblower. With Yeomans now incapacitated, Hornblower went to the top and came flying off with a big head butt into the Cardinals sternum. Hornblower then made the cover and got the three-count, thus, Hornblower remains the World champion but his thoughts, along with everyone elses, will now switch to the impending royal rumble.
