| St. LCW Volume 13: 4th Taping Results Reported by Jim Boz The nights main event was a World title defence for Hornblower against the Intercontinental champion, Iron man. This contest began with Iron man twice throwing Hornblower across the ring from a collar and elbow tie up. To combat this, the World champion used his speed: ducking underneath the punch of his challenger while backed into a corner. Horn then got some shots in before being hacked down by a clothesline. Then, Iron man nailed Hornblower with a big toe and three back breakers (after catching a cross body from the top), resulting in a near fall for Iron man. Hornblower was then thrown outside, where Mofo press slammed him into the commentary booth and also clotheslined him. Once back in the ring, Iron man nailed Horn with an inverted back breaker and then a suplex (which led to a two count). The giant then grabbed Horns neck in preparation for the chokeslam. But, before Iron man could deliver this manoeuvre, Horn low blowed him, thus Mofo released his grip. Blower then attempted to slam Iron man but Johns back gave out, hence, Shaun was able to get his feet back on the ground and deliver the chokeslam to Horn. Iron man then went for the pin but Horn reached the rope on the count of two. Thus, Shaun picked Hornblower back up and went for the chokeslam again. But, before Iron man could deliver the move again, Blower poked him in the eye. This led to a flurry of offence for Hornblower: nailing Iron man with a drop kick, a low drop kick to the leg and a head butt from the top (which led to a near fall). Horn then performed a sunset flip from which he couldnt get Iron man over. Mofo thus attempted to sit on Blower. But, flat top moved out of the way just in time, leaving Iron man to hit the ground ass first. Horn then showed his strength by slamming Iron man and thus gaining a near fall. Horn then went for the bulldog. But, Iron man was able to push Hornblower into a table before he could deliver the move. Mofo then went for the chokeslam one last time, but John jumped out of it and rolled up Iron man for the 1-2-3. Hornblower had won the match and retained his World title but, as the beaten Mofo left with his I.C title, Thanatos made an appearance. Thanatos told the ex-P.I. that it was now official, Hornblower would be defending his World title against the Eagle street terrorist at Outrage. Thanatos went on to say that commissioner, Winnie Nobbe, had booked him in a handicap match against N+L P.L.C, and that match was to take place now. Furthermore, Toast said he wanted Blower to watch what he did to his management team because, according to Thanatos, he was going to do the exact same thing to Hornblower at Outrage. The action began with Thanatos flinging Natasha Rider and then Linzi across the ring. Natasha Rider then squared up to Thanatos and slapped him, but this only served to anger Thanatos, thus he slapped Natasha right back and then threw her across the ring by her hair. Then, Linzi ran in and caught Thanatos unawares with a DDT. Thanatos then kicked out of Riders pin, so Natasha went to the top and came flying off with a cross body. Thanatos however, caught Rider in mid air and gave her a back breaker. Thinking he was in control, Thanatos went to the top for a moonsault. Once he was up there however, Linzi ran in and grabbed hold of Thanatos leg thus preventing him from jumping and allowing Natasha to nail him with a low blow. As Hornblower then swung for Thanatos, Rider was able to roll up the disorientated Mexican and score a three count on him. N+L P.L.C had surprisingly defeated Thanatos and he wanted revenge: Thanatos attacked Hornblower from behind after the match but the champion soon turned the tables by nailing his nemesis with some punches, a clothesline and then tossing him to the outside. Thus, as we roll into Outrage, the momentum is certainly with Hornblower. |
