Reported by Jim Boz

The main event began with Thanatos making an appearance. Upon his arrival, Thanatos broke the news that in the final segment, Hornblower would have to run a gauntlet against three men that he had hand picked to soften up the World champion. Hornblowers first opponent, announced Thanatos, would be Dave Daniels. The match between blower and DD started out brightly for the champ as he nailed Dave Daniels with a double stomp to the back. Dave however, soon seized the initiative by inflicting an axe kick and then a chin lock on Hornblower. Nevertheless, flat top was soon able to brake free from Daniels hold and deliver two clotheslines to his adversary. Dave however, was able to duck Hornblowers third attempt at a clothesline and, in the process, pick up a steel chair. But, before Dave could use it, one half of Horns management team, Natasha Rider, pulled it out of his grasp.

While this was going on however, Toast sneaked into the ring and delivered a straight right hand to the head of Hornblower. This left the Eagles fan vulnerable enough for Daniels to nail him with a belly in the back suplex. Then, DD slapped his now infamous submission manoeuvre on Hornblower and, realising that he still had two opponents to get through, Horn took the wise decision to tap out. Thus, Dave scored a submission victory over Hornblower and was accordingly congratulated by Thanatos for a job well done. There was no rest bite for Hornblower though as Thanatos went on to introduce Hornblowers second opponent of the night, Hayden Williams. On this note, the ex-P.Is penultimate obstacle came running out from the back and attacked Hornblower from behind. First, Hayden Williams delivered a hurricarana to the long armed one and then threw him to the outside where, like Daniels before him, Hayden picked up a steel chair. But, yet again, before Williams could use the weapon, one half of N+L P.L.C, Natasha Rider, pulled the chair from Hornblowers adversary.

Then, Natasha attempted to twice slap Hayden but he blocked both attempts. Hence, Rider stamped on Haydens toe and then delivered one big open hand strike. Horn then dropped Williams face first onto the commentary table and then threw him towards N+L P.L.C, who in turn inflicted their own damage on the Williams in the form of a double drop toe hold into a chair. With Hayden down on the outside, Natasha took the opportunity to come flying off the top with a cross body block onto Thanatos, who was arguing with the ref in the ring. The battle between Hornblower and Williams then returned to the squared circle where the champ smashed his opponents head off a table. However, Thanatos then sneaked up from behind Hornblower and nailed him with a twisting belly in the back suplex. This left the blower down and thus gave Hayden the chance to deliver a summer salt senton from the top. Williams then covered Hornblower and got the1-2-3, a victorious Hayden was then congratulated on his victory by Thanatos and told to hit the showers.

The twin then informed N+L P.L.C that they had to leave ringside for blowers final encounter. With Natasha and Linzi gone, Thanatos told Hornblower that he had some good news and some bad news. The good news was that there was no third opponent for Horn to face, the bad news was that Thanatos thought that blower was sufficiently softened up and therefore was going to kick his ass. After this announcement, Thanatos dashed towards Hornblower and nailed him with punches, a suplex and a rolling firemans carry. When Thanatos then proceeded to put the boots to a prone Horn, we all realised that Thanatos plan had worked. Hence, it seems that with the commissioner backing Thanatos and allowing him to make matches as he sees fit, all the odds are stacked against Hornblower retaining the World title.
