| St. LCW Volume 13: 2nd Taping Results Reported by Jim Boz The nights main event was a two on one handicap match featuring the World champion Hornblower against the team of Dave Daniels and Hayden Williams. But, before the combatants came out, we were filled in as to why this match was about to occur by Thanatos. After entering, Thanatos informed us that he was the man who had devised this match and thus his commissioner friend, Winnie Nobbe, sanctioned it. The reason Toast wanted this match, we were informed, was because he wanted Hornblower to be softened up by his opponents so that when Thanatos gets his inevitable shot at the World title, the champion wont be at 100%. Thanatos then stated that he would stay at ringside for the match to make sure that Hornblowers management team of Natasha Rider and Linzi (N+L P.L.C) didnt get involved. The action started with Horn nailing Hayden Williams with a low drop kick. Not taking kindly to this, Hayden immediately tagged out and thus introduced Dave Daniels to the contest. Straight away Dave scored a near fall with a sunset flip from the top and then Hornblower got a two count of his own after flipping off Daniels back and waist locking him into a pinning combination. Following on from this, the ex-P.I clotheslined both of his opponents, threw DD to the outside and then back dropped Williams over the top. Hornblower then went outside and sent Dave into a wall, Blower then nailed him with a baseball slide to the testicles. Daniels own partner then inadvertently nailed him in the same place while attempting to baseball slide Hornblower. Blower then continued his offence in the ring with a DDT, which brought about a near fall. Hornblowers attack didnt last though as the numbers game eventually caught up to him. A double team manoeuvre in the form of a belly in the back suplex into a neck breaker laid John out. After this, Hornblower endured an axe kick from DD, and a reverse elbow and a low blow from Hayden. Seeing the success he had with the low blow, Williams attempted the same move on Natasha Rider but, much to New Breeds surprise, Natasha was immune to the manoeuvre. Hence, Rider was able to grab Hayden by the hair and fling him across the ring. With Williams down, Linzi took the opportunity to join her cousin in the ring and deliver a double bulldog to Hayden. Flat top then attempted to continue the offence. But when Hornblower went for a leg drop from the top while Williams was hung over a table, he missed and only managed to whack his leg off the table that Hayden had vacated. Thus, Horn soon found himself subject to some more harsh punishment. Hornblower went on to experience a muscular clothesline, a scoop slam and a series of leg drops all from Dave. However, after Hayden had re-entered the ring and delivered an elbow drop (scoring a near fall) both John and Williams were knocked down after a double clothesline. This prompted Daniels to again become active in the match and, as a result, a double-team ensued. After this double attack, Daniels nailed Hornblower with a back breaker and then laid out both of Johns female managers. With Dave now involved with N+L P.L.C, Hornblower was able to drop kick him from behind and thus send Daniels flying to the outside. Blower, now left one on one with Hayden, then secured victory against all odds by tombstoneing Williams for the three count. Thanatos was not happy, his plan had backfired. Hence, Thanatos attempted to attack Hornblower from behind but, just like his scheme, Thanatos failed too. Hornblower wiped him out with a drop kick, two clotheslines and then a throw to the outside. Hornblower had not only won a handicap match, he had also got one up on the title hungry Thanatos. |
