| News and Rumours 25/10 Welcome to the first edition of the N+R. I am not gonna guarantee a weekly N+R, but I will promise a frequent post, containing information which I find interesting, of use, etc. You may have noticed 'Current Situation' updates. This will take the place of those, and will contain more detail. First of all, I would like to congratulate on his victory over Hardcore Yorkie, and therefore becoming Intercontinental Champion. Jason has all the tools to be a successful I.C. Champ, and I wish him the best of luck. It has been a long time coming, but finally Sensation has struck gold. The taping on 24/10 went reasonably well, and I feel a strong show was produced. We saw the possible start of a feud between Sid and An-ton-i Boden, as well as the returns of D.K. Omen and Iron Man. It was Winnie Nobbe's first night in charge, and everything seemed in order. As well as Iron Man and D.K. Omen, another wrestler has been signed on a developmental deal. Silent Jack, or 'Roti' as he is known on the independant circuit, may debut as early as the next taping. Stay tuned. The main piece of News which I feel I need to get across is about the public event at Tipton Sports Academy on Sunday 4th January, 2004. The show is scheduled to start at 7pm, and will feature all St. LCW Superstars. The majority of the 'crew' will wrestle, but there is an 'over 16' rule, which means that the likes of Randy Richter and Sinner may well be involved, just not in a wrestling role. There is a meeting tomorrow, 26/10, at the Port and Ale public house in Dudley Port at 8pm, where details will be discussed and matches will be announced. All roles will become clear. All St. LCW Superstars should attend. On the injury front, 'Iron' Mike Wiseman is back from a knee injury, and An-ton-i Boden is suffering with a knee injury, which may require surgery. If surgery is required, this will almost certainly rule the 'Ice Man' out of the show at TSA, which would definitely be a stiff blow to the company. On the subject of injuries, and knees, we saw D.K. Omen return (with new theme music and ring attire) wearing a knee brace. This is said to be the result of what happened to him at the hands of Grell in his last run with the company. Iron Man, along with Sinner, Omen and Winnie Nobbe, have all had new entrance music. They are as follows: Iron Man - Survivor: Eye of the Tiger Sinner - Drowning Pool: Sinner D.K. Omen - Chimaira: Pure Hatred Winnie Nobbe - Electric Six: Dance Commander Results for Friday's show should be available soon, as Dave Daniels assures me his report will be e-mailed to me no later than one week after each show. I await the report with eager anticipation. That's about it for this week, I hope you have gained something from reading this. I would love some feedback, as I need to know whether to continue this column. Opinions please. Thanks for reading. Regards, DR [email protected] |
