| The Future of St.LCW I just wanted to comment on what I can see in the future of our beloved St.LCW. I say beloved and for me it is, for the past four years it has been the only constant in my life. You may think this sounds melodramatic but I dont really care. Over the past four years I have changed from an annoying adolescent to and annoying adult, in that time Ive been through a lot and here is not the place to go into it. If you know me well then youll know these things anyway. St.LCW for me has grown and grown and come to a sticking point, for a while it didnt seem as though the business would survive. During this time myself and a group of others had thoughts of quitting and of leaving before it all imploded and became a memory to regret rather than one to savour. One man stopped me from quitting and he gets a lot of stick off everyone at St.Lukes, me included, that is Boz. Im not writing this to sing his praises, far from it; Im writing this because now we are past the wilderness stage of our evolution I dont want to see it all go wrong. So here it is the meat and veg. I want to give everyone a quick mention and say what I would like to see them doing or what I think they will be doing in the near future. This probably wont be very interesting but its something I want to be asked to think about. Winnie Nobbe I want to start with the commissioner. For the first time in as long as I can remember there is no commissionership match at the pay per view. For me this makes sense as Winnie is not known for his wrestling ability but is loved for his loud mouth driven stories. For me the feud with Sam will end here and Thanatos is going to play less and less a part in Winnies life. Winnie will be commissioner come the end of Volume 13 and he will still be loved by all, yet some how still be a heal. Dont fix it if its not broken. Keep it up Winnie. Moriarty The current world champ and my favourite wrestler of all time, Moriarty will lose at Tides of Change. I agree with DR on this one. But what lies ahead for Bill? A well earned rest is what; a severe injury to the ligaments in his right hand should have prevented him from fighting on the third taping and at the pay per view. Jim is a professional though and his last few matches as champ are worth the entrance fee alone. I love to see him wrestle and Volume 13 wont be the same with out him. Hayden Williams For me one of the most impressive and unexpected good wrestlers of the Volume. Hayden hasnt wanted to wrestle in recent times for his own reasons but now he has started wrestling regularly he is proving that he is indeed very good. People like Hayden are the future of the company as far as I am concerned. However, be patient Hayden your time will come, keep coming keep performing and titles will follow I promise. You are one of my new favourites make us old guys proud. Dave Daniels May as well get it out the way, right what does the future hold for me? I dont want to spend too much time on this as I dont want to sound biased or anything. All I can say about me is that I enjoy wrestling I dont care if I win or lose I dont care who I fight I just want to wrestle. My future holds matches every week I dont want promos and the like I cant do them, let me wrestle and Im happy. Apocalypse Al Smith Again Im not going to spend long here I want to talk about the future and as things stand now Al doesnt have one in St.Lukes. A legend of our business in the same way that Bret Hart is a legend, no one sees him any more, he doesnt show up. Goodbye Al and good luck. Hardcore Yorkie One of my opponents at the pay per view, if he shows up, and one of the best wrestlers of Volume 11. His match with MM at the last pay per view will linger in my mind for years to come, as will that brain buster on the chairs. His improvement over recent times makes his recent absence hard to bare but it is easy to explain. I know Yorkie quite well and he loves music, unfortunately for us this draws him away from wrestling, but if it makes him happy all the best to him. I cant really see a future for him unless things drastically change, but I would like to see him make a come back at the pay per view and then get back to his glory days and his champagne moment. (If you really want to know more about peoples champagne moments ask me in person). Se7en Ive always enjoyed watching matches involving DR and I like to think that some day soon he will enjoy another title reign at some level. He looked good with a belt round his waist when he was IC champ, but since then he has evolved into a much better and rounded worker. Id like to see the newly developed Se7en with a title, but in all reality I cant see it soon. As things stand Se7en doesnt need anything to boost his popularity, next Volume should see him continue to develop his character, and possibly have another in depth story like the Kidd Napper in which he and Lee both shone. By the way I would like to see him get arrested or something as a little follow on from the leg brace angle. Iron Man This man is on fire, he wont lose at the pay per view in my eyes, he should and I think will be allowed to run with the ball. Since his return he has stunned people with how much he has improved, and I think most of it has come from confidence in his self and with other people. I think he will enjoy another Volume as champ and then lose at the pay per view of Volume 13 which I think is Hell Freezes Over, and what a place to lose it. By this time if his performances continue at the standard they are at now I can see a none title story for the Mo Fo in the pipeline as well. Sinner Sinner, what can anyone say about Sinner? Personally I like the guy and I think that if he keeps wrestling every week the experience will show, remember practise makes perfect. Im glad to see people like Sinner having important matches at the pay per view as I think since the cruiser weights were disbanded people have been waiting for their time to come and now with Jason holding a title Haydens improvement and the development of Sinner going nicely the future for the former cruisers looks bright. Iron Mike Wiseman With the man from the out back gimmick seeming further away each week the wiseness of Wiseman has to come into question. Im sorry if this sounds nasty but I feel that Iron Mike had something that made him stand out and be different from every one else and therefore interesting. I dont know if this is intentional or whether it is just being forgotten but if he is to have any kind of future with success in it then he needs something to separate himself from everyone else. Father Johnson This guy is rapidly improving each week his matches have better structure and his execution of moves and his receiving of moves is more convincing. In the future I can clearly see him breaking away from C.R.A.P as he himself would benefit more from a solo career. I think this is in his future and look forward to seeing the youngster develop. Jurgen Frobe From super heel to super face in two camera shows. Well not quite Frobe has been a fan favourite for a while now and it looks like people will finally have something to cheer about as I can see Jurgen turning his back on the New Breed and carving his own path. Not the most gifted of individuals but one of the most entertaining and I dont think anyone would disagree. Arch Bishop Hodgetts An almost enigmatic character at St.Lukes, the question about Hodgetts has to be does he want to be there or not? Im not sure if he even knows the answer, and this can make life very difficult when it comes to planning and booking for the big guy. The fact is though that when he is there his presence is felt by all in the crowd and in his performances, which with a little work could really push him over the edge as a monster. In the future I can see Lew showing up less and less, which is disappointing because if someone taught him how to punch he could look as good as anyone at St.Lukes. Antoni Boden He has achieved so much at St.Lukes winning several titles and having not one, but several of the best matches to grace the judo mats. As well as this Boden has enjoyed a spell as the commissioner and several in depth story lines. This makes predicting the future for Boden very difficult as there isnt a lot of new stuff for him to do. However, Boden is smart and has many ideas for his own future at St.Lukes and with a little push in the right direction can come up with some of the most innovative ideas in St.LCW. Story driven feuds with super heels lie in the future of this super face. Next |
