Team "SPIRIT" is a small group of ghost hunters and paranormal investigators founded in 2002.  We are based out of South Dakota, with an affiliate in North Dakota.  We have all pursued the paranormal for quite some time.  We have come to realize that in order to perform an objective investigation, a team situation is the only way to go.  However,  we agree that a small group is best.  This eliminates power struggles and keeps possible evidence tampering and manipulation to a minimum.  This is one situation where more is not better.
Equipment Used by Team "SPIRIT"

digital and 35mm cameras
digital and Hi-8 video
digital and analog recorders for evp
infrared thermal scanners
emf detectors
barometers
hygrometers
thermometers
Although we use some of the most common "Ghost Hunting" equipment,  we believe the best piece of equipment is the human mind.  This is why you will not usually find ghost photos, evps, or any sort of electronic evidence on our site.  Let me explain why.  All, I repeat, all evidence can be picked apart and debunked. Do we believe in ghosts and spirits?  Absolutely!!  But...there is no way to prove that a ghost photo is actually a ghost. There is no way to prove that an evp is a ghost voice.  There is no proof that ghosts cause cold spots, or change electromagnetic fields.  Maybe we can prove that orbs are energy, but how will we ever prove that they are spirit energy?  However, there is some pretty convincing evidence out there...if you believe in this sort of thing.  But to the skeptic, it is not convincing at all.  People that are researching the paranormal are always out to prove the exisitence of ghosts to someone else.  Why?  What would one gain?  Fame is the only thing I can think of.  I research the paranormal to prove to myself the existence of life after death.  As long as I believe,  I could care less what anyone else believes.  To me, the experience of a paranormal event is the exciting part.  Why would I waste my time and energy trying to prove that my experience really happened.  As soon as you put something out there for the world to see, you open yourself up to criticism and ridicule. Skepticism is a good thing.  I am somewhat of a skeptic myself.  That is why I don't  post my findings. On occasion, we will share our findings with other groups and individuals with whom we trust to give us an honest opinion.  I believe there is too much "crap" being presented, and this discredits legitimate evidence.  People need to stop and think before they put this crap out there.
