| Doctor's Appointment 11/6/08 - 35 weeks I was actually supposed to have a doctor's appointment on 10/28/08, but I somehow got skipped over. So I called in to the appointment line on 10/31/08 to schedule another appointment. They said they couldn't help me and I would have to wait until the following Monday. Which turned out to be a good thing. I got a call from Dr. Piacquadio's Office to schedule an appointment and she would be my new doctor through the rest of my pregnancy. She is the best! She answers all my questions, and I don't feel rushed with her. So since I was a new patient, we got to see the baby again. She asked if I knew the gender, and confirmed that our Kainoa, our baby boy, will definitely be the new addition to our family. She showed me his gender again, and it was clear as daylight this time! I also got to see his belly, which she measured, as well as his head, which she measured as well. His ratio of his head to his belly was right on target. She also measured was she estimated his weight to be.... brace yourself, he was approximately 7 lbs at that visit. She guessed that he might be about 8 1/2 lbs at birth. But considering I was 8 lbs 10 oz. at birth, I think we are OK. (And you know how little my mom is!) I also got to kind of see his cheeks, his nose, and mouth. Dr. Piacquadio said that Kainoa has lots of hair! But no indigestion... so that wives-tale is false! Everything looked good & we are right on target! Now we are on weekly doctor visits. So next appointment is 11/11/08. |

| Doctor's Appointment 11/11/08 - 36 weeks Got to see Dr. Piacquadio again. She got a new hair cut! Very cute! She took a look at the baby again, checked my fluid, checked his heartbeat, and everything looks good. She thinks I will still be on target. We have a healthy baby boy on his way! Next appointment, 11/21/08. |

| Doctor's Appointment 11/21/08 - 37 weeks & 5 days Got to see Dr. Piacquadio again. Patrick came with me today. The doctor measured the baby's head and belly, and it is still a normal ratio, so everything looks good. She also measured him again, and today he was at about 8 lbs 7 oz. Heart rate was at about 140 bpm, which means he was sleeping during the visit. :o) There is a chance that she might induce me at 39 weeks, but I definitely will not go passed 40 weeks. The doctor showed Patrick all of the baby's hair, and said that it was probably about an inch long right now. He is head down, face down, so that is very good as well. The doctor checked on some of my tests, and Mommy is doing well. Next appointment, 11/24/08... Stay Tuned! |
