| Gerrit Eenigenburg and wife Jannetje Ton (for picture clich here) arrived in New York City on June 8, 1849, on the ship "Mass. of Boston" and arrived in de Hooge Prairie (Roseland) on July 4, 1849. This family has connected many times to the Tanis family and many other families of South Holland and Roseland. Gerrit was associated with the First Reformed Church of Roseland, and the First Reformed Chruch of South Holland. He was an Elder at the latter. He later moved to Oak Glen (Lansing), and farmed there. While there he became involved with the First Reformed Church of Lansing, and the First Christian Reformed Church of Munster, Indiana.
