Dearly Beloved

This is my Prince poem. The title is taken from the first spoken words from "Let's Go Crazy." ("We are gathered here today to get through this thing called life...") The first stanza is an attempt to describe the symbol Prince changed his name to and titled an album with. The lyric quote is from the song "Sweet Baby" from that album. I threw the line "son of a king" just to be cute. I remember it was a bitch to write this because I kept listening to his music and hearing all these cool quotes I wanted to work in. I was kinda obsessed...
