Web/Internet-Ready Design: General Notes

My overriding philosophy on web design work is to keep it simple. I've designed a couple of sites on a pro bono basis, with the owners expressing a desire to maintain the site themselves. Hence, I feel that simple is better.

I've been involved in the design and development of sites from simple to complex, from using FrontPage and Geocities to Dreamweaver, Flash, and an Interwoven CMS.

The content below includes web sites, banner ads and HTML email design.

LC Lane
One of those I developed for end-user modification. For this, I also worked with audio and video editors to get soundtrack and video clips online.

HTML Email Ad
The master template for a series of very simple emailable HTML ads.

Web Ads
A small sampling of web ads for Gallopade.

These were built from a template set up in PhotoShop. They were occasionally animated in ImageReady.

Showcase
Yes, a showcase... to demonstrate that I, a paper person, do have web design skills and writing skills.

Of note: inline frames, with internal and external html sources, tables galore, simple java actions, and lots of information.

Warning: visiting the site above may cause you to spend a lot more time outdoors and to look suspiciously at every rock pile and hole in a tree...

The Old Portfolio

I have to admit it. I did this quickly, to get it up online.

Clicking the image above will do nothing.
