World Wide Web

It is probably one of the most used services of the Internet, along with e-mail. The World Wide Web (WWW or simply Web) is an infrastructure for distributing and relating information (documents) over computer networks.

Web Server

It is the server where you make you information available. It will process requests from Web clients, mainly Web Browsers by sending the HTML pages and its content.

Http

HTTP it the communication protocol use in the Web. It stands for Hypertext Transport Protocol. It allows Web Clients, mostly browsers, to request and receive content from Web Servers.

Hyperlinks

It is the most important element of a HTML Page and possibly the main reason of the success of the Web. Hyperlinks allows the user to seamless jump from page to page to pages to pages. This phenomenon creates an infinite source of endless information.

Web Browsers

It is the main client of Web Servers. It is a client program capable of issuing requests to Web Servers and rendering HTML pages received from the Web Servers.

Universal Resource Locator (URL)

A URL refers to any kind of content existent in the Web. It normally referrers to images and other HTML pages, but it can be associated with many other types of resources.

HTML

HTML is the language used to create Web content.
It stands for Hypertext Markup Language, and it main goal is presentation. The basic HTML document is called a HTML page. HTML pages are essentially the composition of text, images and hyperlinks.
