Must be a SDRBA member and you must have a sponser who is a SDRBA member, but not parents. Include a letter of recomendation. 10 Points: Copy of SDRBA and ARBA membership cards = 5 points. Letter of recomendation = 5 points Two showmanship sheets that are dated, signed by a show sponsor and list show location, not necessarily SD shows. 20 Points: Each sheet = 10 points Two judging sheets that are dated, signed by a show sponsor and list show location, not necessarily SD shows, ARBA SOP is allowed to be used. 20 Points: Each sheet = 10 points Two Breed ID sheets that are dated, signed by a show sponsor and list location, not necessarily SD shows. 20 Points : Each sheet = 10 points. Show Reports and / or comment cards, must be dated and can be from Open, Youth or a 4-H show. No more than 3 each and no less than 1 each. 10 Points In your own words write an essay about your rabbits, tell us what breeds you raise etc.... What did you accomplish this past year that you are proud of? What are your goals for the coming year. Add some pictures to your story. Length for Pre-juniors is 100 - 150 words, Juniors 175 - 250, Seniors 275 - 500. 25 Points Essay = 15 points. Pictures = 10 points Achievment: To acknowledge outstanding achievment and leadership. This is measured by active involvement in organizations. Such as local clubs, state clubs and national orginizations. Assiting with shows and helping where age appropriate achievements in breeding and raising rabbits and cavies. This could cover Winning a class or breed at nationals, or working on a new variety or breed. Anything on a state or national level that you have participated in, provide letters and / or pictures from these orginizations or copies of your work for proof of involvemant. 25 Points Neatness: Your report should be in a binder or a folder so that is stays organized and neat. The binder or folder should be in the order listed above. This is where you would loose points for not following the order. 15 Points These are the changes to the SDRBA Royalty contest: Changing the age for our contestants to match ARBA. Follow Breed ID rules and scoring for Breed ID. Allow the ARBA SOP for judging schools as this is allowed at the convention level. Allow judging sheets and breed ID sheets from other states. This is for our members who live outside of the state boundaries. Also by allowing outside the state, the youth who have competed in these at the national level will be able to include them in the contest. Add achievment to royalty contest. This would acknowledge outstanding leadership and achievment. This allows us to recognize those young people who go above and beyond the norm. |
