The San Dieguito Pony Club is part of the national organization called United States Pony Clubs that is dedicated to teaching riding skills and horse management to youth under the age of 21. The core of the USPC is the local club. USPC supports the ideal of a thoroughly happy, comfortable horse person, riding across natural country, with complete confidence and perfect balance on a horse or pony equally happy and confident and free from pain or bewilderment.
Our club strives to provide an inexpensive education in riding, horse care and good sportsmanship for our children. Our club focuses on the learning experience, not winning at all costs.
Our Pony Club offers group lessons as a cost-effective method to reach our goals. Individual needs must be covered by private work at the individual's expense. Each member should seek out help and advice when needed, yet also seek to become self-sufficient as quickly as possible.
SDPC meets most Saturdays @ 3:00 PM at the RidgeMar Equestrian Center in beautiful Del Mar, CA.
Pony Club would not be possible without the efforts of our professional instructors and dedicated parent volunteers.
