The Massachusetts State Police began in 1865 and has been the primary Police Service for the State of Massachusetts since. The Massachusetts State Police have committed themselves to providing a proactive Police Service to the citizens of Massachusetts and repsond to the State's needs by continuing to develop innovative approaches to Policing.
