| Christian Domizlaff was born in Shivelbein, Pomerania, and mostly set himself apart from the rest of the family by pursuing professions of elevated thought, rather than an apprenticeship as a tailor. He was an active teacher and also served as the last of three sextons in the Dumzlaff family. In 1811 he married Dorothea CHARLOTTE Helene PORATH, who bore him eleven children. Christian became the first to pursue his interests in the family's history and began to document it as well. He was responsible for the final name change to DOMIZLAFF, the founding of the Domizlaff zu Alten-Stettin Familienverband, and the reinstallation of the family crest. |
