The Whirlwind Tour of Scotland
Anja wanted to see Scotland before she went back to Germany, so we were forced to squeeze Scotland into one weekend.

We were fortunate that our first day coincided with the 24hr long Scottish summer so we decided to take full advantage and travel to the Arrochan Alps and climb Ben Arthur (below).

Ben Arthur

Other walkers in alps that day must of found us an interesting sight. Our party ranged from Dave IV and Anja, with maps and walking boots, to Jim with his work shoes, full denim outfit, the Independent rolled up under his arm and his lunch in a Tesco carrier bag. Simon showed his sadistic side, as he led us up the steepest side of the mountain. Dave and Jim were offering death threats on the climb up, until they saw the fantastic view from the summit.

The next day was spent recovering by meandering around Edinburgh, climbing tall things and drinking tea. 1
