| Meeting was called to
order at 10:10 a.m. Merit began with introductions - and announced the speaker - Vicki Reed from Media Services |
| Program: Our program speaker was from the Media Services Office of the San Diego County of Ed, Vicki Reed. The program detailed instructions on how to obtain training videos for San Diego area driver instructors from the library. Vickie presented an online demonstration. Handouts included a list (not all inclusive) of driver training videos available from Media Services. |
| REPORTS: CDE: None CHP: No date yet for Division reception for Bus Driver of the Year Award - possibly the third week in April. MOTOR CARRIER: None CASTO: Saturday workshop - good support (200 registered). April 17th is SD County Roadeo - to be held at South West High School in South San Diego. CLASSES: Poway will have an original class beginning on April 5th, renewal classes available. First class will be in the evening, subsequent classes dates/times are to be determined. | OLD BUSINESS:
FIRST AID: Please update first aid review documents on website. Jeannette will take care of it. LETTER HEAD: Merit feels as though a standard letter head for the SDIC which reflects a professional appearance would be beneficial for the group. Jeannette will provide a standardized letter head which can be used by current and future board members with ease. |

BUSINESS: NOMINATION COMMITTEE: Bylaws state that the nomination committee is to select nominees for SDIC board for upcoming year. Robert Banks will chair the nomination committee. ACCOUNT MONEY: Balance on 3/1/04 was $61.35. Postage was $18.50 for minutes. New balance is: $42.85. It was suggested that the SDIC consider what the 50/50 money can be used for. Possible donation toward video for Media Services. Members will look for bylaws from other DTAC's to help guide money issue. |
