MOTOR CARRIER: None (Diane Turner commented on there is more emphasis being put on checking driver's hours especially those who work for more than one carrier)

CASTO: Driver's Workshop scheduled for March 5, 2005 at the Westview High school, 13500 Camino Del sur. This is a change in location. If you have any questions or would like to teach a class contact Debbie Shively at Cajon Valley School District, (619) 588-9669.

Mechanic's Workshop changed to Feb. 5 at Poway.

OLD BUSINESS:

NONE

NEW BUSINESS:

QUESTION: Robert Banks was asked a question from an officer if there is lists or manifests on school buses that states all the names of students that ride. So in the event of an accident or some disaster they would have an idea who could have been on the bus. Robert conducted an informal survey of what the carriers present in the meeting do.

Rick Lynch from Temecula is going to research the Idling Regulation which should include: Who wrote the regulation, who enforces it, and who will create the citation?

ACCOUNT MONEY: Balance on 12/8/04 (after today's 50/50): $84.00.

GOOD OF THE ORDER: An Instructor asked for other instructor's professional opinion concerning VC 22112 (e) (2) exceptions due to a mechanical breakdown.  Most agreed, neither bus should activate the flashing red light system.

ATTRACTION: Kevin Wedemeyer will give a "surprise presentation" at the February 9, 2005 meeting.

Meeting adjourned: 11:40 a.m.
