A Word Concerning the Provided Hyperlinks
My website is designed for anyone interested in pursuing a deeper understanding of who God is and how we can become rightly related to Him. It is assumed that the reader will know that there always exists the need to read things critically, always using the Word of God as the ultimate source of truth and authority. I have included, without reservation, hyperlinks to sites that contain content that I do not necessarily agree with, but nonetheless consider worth investigation and reflection.
It is my conviction that we need to spend time reading not only those whom we tend to agree with, but also those whom we tend to disagree. This allows us to better understand the subject at hand, first by reading those whom have rightly earned our respect, and secondly, by reading those whom we tend to disagree with - though remaining open minded enough to see when they are making sound arguments concerning an issue we are researching. People have an inherent tendency to misrepresent views and/or scholars in which they disagree, and therefore, it becomes incumbent upon us that we read differing views first hand, not relying on one scholars assessment of another scholars convictions. This is a fundamental facet of being intellectually virtuous and it is especially important for those engaged in Christian scholarship.
This should also provide a standard for us when we are describing views in which we vociferously disagree. We must make every effort to present them as clearly and truthfully as we would want our own positions presented, otherwise we create a mere straw man argument and do a disservice to the Christian community, not to mention, we participate in unethical and immoral behavior.
With the above in mind, please enjoy the websites I have provided.
May God bless you richly in your studies and may your every effort be done to the glory of God!.
