Notes
* I'm really not too big a fan of my first name. I know it's "unique" and everything but often I'd just rather have a feminine name. As I yearn to initiate the transition from girl to woman, I identify less and less with my "androgynous" name. I'm embarrassed whenever I have to introduce myself to strangers, in fact, I feel a bit like a stranger to myself after almost 19 years. My role models and the women I look up to in awe exude pure femininity and female power: the elite Supermodels of the early 90s, old Hollywood actresses and pin-ups,, etc. The continuance of female androgyny in this day and age is plain evidence of an insecurity with our own sexuality.

** Lately I'm becoming a lot more interested in spirituality. I want to believe in God(s) and life after death and I intuitively sense that there is a higher power, whether monotheistic or not. But I just don't think that I'm developed enough emotionally, etc. to make a leap of faith. I think there's a reason why many people seem to turn to religion spontaneously when they reach an older age, but not just out of a fear of dying. They've overcome the petty and superficial problems of youth and are more capable of opening up to nature and the unknown roots of their being and the world around them.
