How
to Join |
|
To join you must
complete and submit a membership form so we can verify and document
membership. To do this you can: |

1)
send an e-mail message to [email protected]
and request a membership form or |
|
2)
download a membership form directly by clicking on SD

the instructions on this web page. |

You do not have to
be a person with a disability to be
a club member! ALL ARE INVITED WHO SUPPORT OUR CAUSE! |

You do not
have to do anything to be a Club member other than vote and support our
cause. Our goals are very simple. |
|
|
|
1) Promote a culture of disciplined UNITY of purpose
and action
within the disability community. This means we aim to… a) set aside our
personal differences and agendas; b) define a clear
sense of purpose and direction; c) compromise on
issues without compromising our human and civil rights; d) educate and
communicate rather than attack and condemn; and, e) focus on and
emphasize common ground to identify what we agree on; and, f) act and speak with one voice. |
|
2) Fully support the Democratic Party and
Democratic Candidates. |
|
3) Inform and educate all Americans and
especially Americans with disabilities about disability issues and the record
of public officials about disability rights. |
|
4) Recruit the membership, participation and
involvement of all Americans who support disability rights. |
|
5) Elect officials who support disability
rights. |
|
6) Increase the visibility and understanding of
disability issues among all Americans but especially among Americans with
Disabilities and members of the Democratic Party. |
|
7) Promote and support equal opportunity and
full access for all Americans. |
|
8) Develop networks and linkages with other
Democratic Clubs, organizations, and individuals who support the above goals. |

You may join our Yahoo

email message. Yahoo Group members have complete access to all club documents
including membership forms, bylaws, invitations to
meetings, flyers and timely notification of club activities. |

You do not have to be
an official member of the club to be a member of our Yahoo Group. However,
the group is closely moderated and those who support our cause and our
concerns are welcome. |

Joining

If you are an American

These are only a few reasons focused specifically on how Americans with
Disabilities have been treated since G. W. Bush has been President. These
reasons do not address fundamental failures in leadership, moral and personal
integrity, economic, domestic or foreign policy. The basic fact remains that
there is overwhelming evidence of outright hostility by President G. W. Bush,
his administration, the Republican Party and the Supreme Court to the rights,
needs, concerns, and cause of Americans with Disabilities. |

This is not about Bush
or his administration. This is about your survival as an American with a
Disability. As Justin Dart once said, “Vote as if your life depends on
it…because it does!” |
