DIRECT SERVICE PROGRAM (DSP)

The SDC created the DSP to effectively respond to the needs of the children in a systematic manner.  The program is envisioned as the center for provision or referral of services and other interventions (e.g. medical assistance, tutorial, counseling, family re-tracing, legal assistance, etc.) particularly in critical or emergency situations.  However, other programs (e.g. VFEP, GCDP, and ANP) provide various services to the beneficiaries as part of the overall strategy implementations.

The plan of activities of the program may include activities involving resources or income generation in order to provide for the needs of the children, and when necessary, their families.  Resource or income generation activities may not be limited only to fund or money matters.  The program includes educational assistance through the commitment of advocates.
