Fr. Reu Jose C. Galoy, OFM
Fr. Reu is the Chair
of the Streetchildren Development Center (SDC), Inc. He is a member of
the Order of Friars Minor (OFM), San Pedro Bautista Province, San Francisco
Del Monte, Quezon City, Philippines, where he is the Coordinator of Justice,
Peace and Integrity of Creation, as well as the National Chair of the Franciscan
Movement for Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation (JPIC). He
is also the Executive Secretary of the Association of Major Religious Superiors
of the Philippines (AMRSP).
Doris P. Romero
Doris is the Vice Chair of the SDC. She presently works as Human Resource Management Officer of the Philippine National Oil Corporation (PNOC), where she supervises the training sector. She is a graduate of the University of the Philippines (UP), where she obtained her Bachelor's degree in Psychology, and her Master's Degree on Education in Guidance at the same university. She is a part-time lecturer at the UP.
Jocelyn (Joy) A. Ong, Lawyer
Jocelyn is the Board Secretary
of the SDC. She is currently connected with the Department
of Justice (DOJ), detailed as State Prosecutor at the Pasig City Prosecutor's
Office. As State Prosecutor, she was a former member of the Task
Force on Child Protection for almost 3 years, where she successfully prosecuted
several cases involving children who are victims of sexual abuse, and delivered
lectures on the Rights of the Child all over the country. She obtained
her Bachelor's Degree in Law at the University of Sto. Tomas in 1992.
Ricardo (Bombie) A. Sunga III, Lawyer
Bombie is the Treasurer of the Treasurer of the SDC, as well as a member of the SDC. He is presently an associate of the Manahan Law Office at Araneta Avenue, Quezon City Philippines. He is also a member of the Free Legal Assistance Group (FLAG), the largest and oldest organization of human rights lawyers, where he is an active member of the Task Force Against Death Penalty. Bombie obtained his Bachelor's degree in Philosophy at the Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) and his Bachelor's Degree in Law at U.P in 1994. He is a part-time lecturer at the Sienna College and ADMU.
Ramon (Monching) V. Te, Lawyer
Monching is the Internal
Auditor of the SDC and member of the Membership Committee of the SDC.
He was also a past Chair (1997-1998) of the organization. He is presently
connected with PHILTRUST Bank as Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary
of the Board. Monching obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Law at the
San Beda College, Manila, Philippines. He is also an active human
rights advocate.
Evelyn (Leo) D. Battad, Lawyer
Leo is the Chair of the
Trust Fund Committee of the SDC. She was also the past Chair (1994-1997)
of the organization. She is currently the Deputy General Counsel
for Judicial Affairs of the UP Office of Legal Services (System).
She is also a member of FLAG, where she is an active member of the Human
Rights education program. She obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Law
at UP, where she is a lecturer (of Human Rights and Law and Poverty) at
the College of Law. She obtained her Master's Degree at the Yale
University, School of Law in 1998. Leo was a former Commissioner
of the Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor.
Danilo P. Gatmaitan, RSW
Danilo is the Chair of the Membership Committee of the SDC. He is presently employed at the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), detailed at the Inter-country Adoption Board (ICAB), where he manages cases of international adoptions. Danilo is a graduate of the St, Joseph's College, Quezon City, Philippines, where he obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work in 1994. He was one of the top 10 successful examinees (9th place) in the Board Examination in 1995. He has master's units in Social Work at the UP.
