This program supports the SDC’s vision of helping establish a “caring and responsible community”. It aims to deepen the level of awareness of the public on the street children situation, and to get their support in addressing the street children’s problem of neglect, abuse and exploitation. Through networking, the SDC will tap its network of organizations, agencies, and government offices for purposes of undertaking joint activities, avail existing services and share resources.
The program also aims to encourage concerned individuals to join the SDC family, either as members or volunteers, willing to commit their time, expertise or material resources. Through advocacy work, the SDC shall have the essential task of forming and strengthening a pool of professionals, students and other concerned citizens. This pool will support the SDC’s various initiatives and activities, particularly in the area of policy advocacy for child’s rights and welfare.
