Faces

I sit on the leather seats and stare at the artwork.
I stare at the man's arms.

A face seeing sun after rain.
A face seeing rain reclaiming her hold on the day's weather events.
A face seeing dark matter in the sky fade to dust bunnies.
A face seeing bolts of white heat punch the horizon.
A face seeing grassy hair blow to and fro' in wind.
A face seeing water roll across everything green.

The bus shifts as it turns a corner.
Then...

A red face of a man,
A tall man,
A grown man,
Looking into my eyes. I jerk back as I realize I'm staring.
I realize I'm dazed.
A smirk on his face, as he grabs my shirt in two places
and threatens he could hurt in three.

I disembark later.
There's the face of the driver as he gives me a look
with I-told-you-so all over it.

Lastly,
The face of a teenager,
Stepping off with me,
I see a smirking sun.
