Isaac Samson is buried here at Plympton between his sons Josiah (left) and Jonathan (2nd from right). Born 5 June 1692, Isaac and Lydia (Standish) Samson's son Josiah Samson died at Plympton 29 March 1730/1 in his 39th year. Josiah remained unmarried. On 9 April 1730/1 Ephraim Samson of Plympton was appointed administrator of the estate of his brother Josiah Samson. Headstone of Josiah Samson Jonathan Samson married Sept. 28, 1721, Joanna Lucas, the daughter of Benoni and Repentance (Harlow) Lucas who are buried at Lakenham Cemetery, Carver. Joanna is buried at far right beside her husband. Jonathan Samson lived in Plympton all his days. His house was on the spot where Josiah Perkins, one of his descendants, dwelt in 1832. He died intestate, Feb. 3, 1758, age 68. His widow Joanna died Jan. 1, 1768, age 77.
