Abigail (Cushman) Sampson, b. Nov. 22, 1727, was the dau. of Benjamin4 and Sarah (Eaton) Cushman. She was sister of Benjamin Cushman, the husband of Zeruiah Sampson [GILES #146]. On 31 Dec 1747 when Abigail was 20, she married Zabdiel SAMPSON, the son of George SAMPSON (March 10, 1690-1-6 Feb 1774) & Hannah SOULE (18 Mar 1696-22 Sep 1776). Mrs. Abigail Sampson died in Plympton, May 4, 1751, "age 23 years, 5 mos., 12 days." Born on 26 Apr 1727, at the age of 49, her husband Zabdiel, who married (2)Abiah Whitmarsh, died in battle at Harlem, NY on 16 Sep 1776.
