Switzerland

Bern

SWITZERLAND! I had been dying to come here forever. After hearing so many backpackers talk about their Switzerland Adventures, I knew that I just had to go there or else I would regret it. And what an experience it was. Before heading towards Interlaken where all the extreme sports were, I went to the capital city of Bern. Beautiful! It was there that I caught my first glimpse of the Swiss Alps. Breathtaking.

I think one of the happiest times of this trip was spent in Interlaken. The thrill seeker in me was (somewhat) satiated with canyoning, white-water rafting, and ice climbing. Met some great people, relaxed, relaxed, relaxed...

Canyoning involves slipping and sliding down a river, jumping off waterfalls, sommersaulting off cliffs, rapelling, swimming...you name it.

After canyoning, my next adventure was white-water rafting (with a cutie guide), and then ice-climbing. It was too amazing to describe how beautiful the scenary was. Natural waterfalls left and right, deep gorges, ice everywhere...

And the climbing was superb. (That's me right-side up.)

Cheers!
