Innsbruck was really cool. Checked out the Maximillian Museum (a tribute to Innsbruck's most well-known leader), the Hofburg (Imperial Palace), Hofkirche (Imperial Church), and the Museum of Tyrol History (loved this one!). Saw SchloB Ambras (Castle Ambras) and walked along the Inn River.

Salzburg is truly a musical place. What luck that I arrived at the start of the Mozart Festival. It was here that I met one of the writers for Let's Go Austria who was also from NYC and went to high school just a few blocks down from mine.
Okay, so I'm a little cheesy . . .
. . . I went on the Sound of Music Tour. But it was fun, the scenary was great - and I've always loved the Sound of Music!!

One great thing about traveling in the summer is that you always manage to hit all the summer festivals. I got a real treat in Vienna - nightly film festivals outside the Rathaus (City Hall - looks like a church huh?) of the Vienna Philharmonic.
