No other Cruiserweight in the world carries the kind of reputation that Rey Mysterio does. A phenomenon who has competed throughout the world, he is one of the very few competitors in wrestling history who can claim to have literally changed sports-entertainment. His innovative high-flying maneuvers and lightning-fast style helped open the doors to light weight wrestlers over the course of the 90s.Originally a star in Mexico, he has plied his trade everywhere from Japan to ECW to WCW.

Now, he has finally made his way to the WWE, once again wearing the mask that helped make him a legend. After weeks of WWE promos for a new masked wrestler coming to Smackdown, the highflying Rey Mysterio made his WWE TV debut on Smackdown in July of 2002. Rey debuted in grand fashion as the new star beat Chavo Guerrero. Then, later in the show. Rey came to the aid of Edge and John Cena, climbed to the top of a steel cage and hit a high cross body on Lance Strom, Jericho and Christian. With Mysterio now in the WWE, look for the WWE Cruiserweight division to heat up, thanks to the man whose name translates as "Mystery King". With all that Mysterio had already done for wrestling, look for his name to be placed among the all times legends.
