Batista began his wrestling career in World Xtreme Wrestling. He later gained notoriety and began building a name for himself while in the WWE's "farm league" Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW). There, he emerged as Leviathan, the "Demon from the Deep." For two years, Batista dominated the promotion, earning a stunning win/loss record.
After splitting with his then-manager Synn, Batista was "sold" to WWE's Reverend D'Von and debuted on Smackdown! in May, 2002, accompanying D'Von to the ring as "Deacon" Batista. But Batista would not be controlled. In defiance, Batista dropped the "Deacon" from his name and D'Von…with a vicious Spinebuster!

Now, Batista has jumped to the RAW roster and is preparing to dominate all who would stand in his way.
