| Where to start? I am currently a full time student at Mount Saint Mary's College in Los Angeles, CA. It's a women's college and I love it! I am a Liberal Studies Major with a Leadership & Women's Studies Minor. This is to be an elementary school teacher. I am a Senior and will be outta here in May of 2002. But, before I get into all the current stuff, I'll fill you in on everything else! I was born on April 22, 1980 in San Diego at Mercy Hospital. I lived at Cajon Speedway in El Cajon, California until I was four years old; my dad was the caretaker. I remember having picnics in the middle of the track and playing with frogs in the marshy fields. From there we moved to Lake Morena where my family has lived since. I went to Campo Elementary from kindergarten through sixth grade. I spent a lot of time with my friends playing in the bushes, riding our bikes, putting on concerts, building forts, having sleep-overs, making stuff, teasing our siblings, playing at the lake, playing with Barbies, chasing the boys, and doing all the other fun stuff little girls do. I also participated in Girl Scouts, played Little League, and went to CCD classes. I went to Mountain Empire Junior/Senior High School for the remainder of my public education. As we all know, jr. high is a scary time to look back on. Some of my really good jr. high memories are Friday Night Live, slumber parties with the girls, dances, going to football games for everything except football, and lunch breaks. Moving into high school my life became busier than could ever have imagined. I played volleyball, basketball, and softball, was very actively involved in ASB (VP my senior year), took college prep courses, and participated in tons of other school activites. All of this was, of course, on top of the normal friends and boyfriend scene. I built many strong friendships in high school, most of which have continued to become life long friendships. Obviously, high school became a very significant part of my life. Graduation day was one that I had looked forward to for thirteen years, but also dreaded for a few months prior. When that day came, it seemed as if my life was ending. My whole life had been built, almost entirely, around that school. But, like people say, it is just another step. Now, I am in my third year of college. And no, I have not closed the book on my past. I keep friendships that I made in high school - hey, I even have friends whose roots go back to kindergarten! I have moved out of the mountains and I have grown because of this. Like I said before, I am now a student and resident of Mount Saint Mary's College. I live in the Brentwood area of Los Angeles (think OJ Simpson). I have made many friends at MSMC who I wouldn't trade for anything. I have really tried to not allow my new college life to replace everything that is important to me at home. I also work for the Women's Leadership Office; am a member of Theta Alpha Sigma, our Catholic social sorority; and love going out with my girls whenever we can. So, where I am now is sitting in my dorm thinking about all this stuff. I'm not super-good at writting down how much everyone means to me, but I do love my family, and friends. They should all know that. I have spent countless hours working on this webpage and I hope that YOU enjoy it. Please remember to leave something on my message board and check back often. Take care! |
