| I am a NJ Devils fan, and have been since I first started following hockey in 1994. I had gotten my first pair of plastic roller skates, and for some reason decided to become a goalie. I waited a few months for the cheapest pair of equipment to be ordered by the store. I started playing in the street with my friends, and today I can call myself a fairly decent goalie. I started playing in the street, and since I have played ice, roller, and semi-pro indoor roller hockey. Although I started playing too late to make anything of a career, I enjoy playing as much as I can. However, if someone wouild offere me a contract, I would take it without asking!! Martin Brodeur is by far my favorite goalie. When I play, I incorporate many of his moves into my reportoire. I feel he should have won the vezina on certain occassions instead of Domick Hasek, who is by no mean a bad goalie. Patrick Roy is also very good, but I think that Mike Richter is the only goalie worthy of being talked about in the same way as Brodeur. If I had to choose a one-two punch, it would certainly be Brodeur and Richter. I think that between the two of them, they make the most spectacular saves. Brodeur, however, also adds the element of shooting the puck to start up a rush.
