"Legit" Lou Saunders was born in West Babylon, NY on November 1, 1974. Saunders got sick and tired of listening to his parents, so at 12 years old he ran away from home and lived in a boarding home in Ozone Park. That's where he started to watch wrestling. He disliked the popular faces like Hulk Hogan, and he idolized men like Don Muraco & "Rowdy" Roddy Piper. He started to model his own personality after Piper's and developed a bad attitude that eventually got him kicked out of High School. He joined Johnny Rodz's Wrestling School in New York, and then he started wrestling in the independents. That's where he started to develop his catchphrase "I'm Legit, I don't quit, and if you don't like me, I don't give a shit", but everytime he tries to say "shit", someone always cuts him off! Finally got his big break with SCW in 2002, but he's not grateful for it. He says then promotion is just even worse than some of the indys he's been in, berating not only the wrestler's talents, but their tacky gimmicks and in-ring names. Lou Saunders doesn't use a fake in-ring name and his gimmick isn't fake either. Lou Saunders is Legit, He doesn't Quit, and you can like him or not, but he doesn't give a........
