I closed my eyes because I trust you

Sadness they bravely fought.
And though I still miss you,

Realization

I laughed so hard, so long
Blinded for the longest time
I failed to see what went wrong

Laughing still, I fell on my knees
I laughed not because I was happy
It was because of a pain that no one sees

My laugh turned to a snicker
Then there was nothing
Just a hope that one day it'll be better

I realized too little, too late
I lost so much with such a mistake
And now I face my dreaded fate

Now, in the darkness of the night
Tears stream down my eyes
And I pray someone hears my heart's plight
