Sadly, the Watts
House has burned. Our meeting October 20, 2005 will be held at the
Capitol theatre and Ice Cream Shop on the Square
in downtown Laurens across from the Confederate Memorial..
A Hamburger Plate Dinner will be served at a cost of $5.00 and will be available
beginning at 6:15 with our meeting starting at 7:00. Our guest speaker this
month will be E. M. (Everette) Clark and he will be doing a slide presentation
on the burial sites of South Carolina Generals.

Also keep in mind that our November meeting will be held at
the Laurens County Educational Center, and will feature the Gettysburg National
Park Superintendant as our speaker. That date is November 17.
Rember, this is the last month to pay dues at the regular price.
We will be asking for volunteers for committees that we will be forming over
the next several months, so start thinking about what you can do to help
preserve the memory of our Confederate heroes...
