McGowan Camp Monthly Meeting
We will be privileged to have as our guest speaker for our May 15 meeting Mr. Randy Burbage who serves on the Hunley Commission. Randy will enlighten us on his work with the Commission and tell us about the artifacts and other items of interest connected with the Hunley.
PLEASE NOTE THE MEETING PLACE FOR MAY HAS BEEN CHANGED TO THE LAURENS COUNTY EDUCATION CENTER. DIRECTIONS TO THE CENTER ARE BELOW.
The Laurens County Education Center is on Medical Ridge Road in Laurens, near the Laurens County Hospital. We are anticipating a large crowd to attend and we would encourage all SCV members to be in attendance and bring a guest. We need to let Laurens County know about the McGowan Camp!! The Education Center is a beautiful facility built by our Laurens County tax dollars. Make your plans now to attend at 6:30 on May 15.

From Laurens: Take Hwy 76 E (Laurens-Clinton Hwy) past Wal-Mart and just past the Laurens County Hospital. As you pass the Hospital, make a left turn onto Professional Park Rd. Then take the first left onto Medical Ridge Rd. The Higher Ed Center is about 1/2 mile down on your right.
From Clinton: Take Hwy 76 (Laurens-Clinton Hwy) toward the Laurens County Hospital. Just before you get to the Hospital take a right onto Professional Park Rd. As you travel down Professional Park Rd., take the first road to the left. That is Medical Ridge Rd. Go down and the Higher Ed Center is about a 1/2 mile down on your right.
