Most of you are aware by now that we have
secured a great location for our monthly meetings, the American Legion Post
building in Clinton. The Legion building is basically a large meeting
room, with a good sized kitchen, and good restrooms (the ladies room has been
recently remodeled). It's in a great location, with plenty of parking.
Here's directions to the Legion Post: The building is located in the forks of the road at Hwy 72 N (Willard Rd) and North Adair Street. From downtown Clinton go North on Hwy 72, towards Whitmire, and it's on the right about 1/4 mile past the Hwy 56 intersection. If you drive out N. Adair street, it's just past Clinton High School. From I-26, exit off at Exit 54 (Hwy 72), head into Clinton, go thru first traffic light (Rosemont Cemetery will be on your right), and the Legion Post will be directly in front of you. It's a hard place to miss, there's a tank and an artillery piece out front. I sincerely hope that with a regular monthly meeting place, all our Camp members will make a special effort to begin attending meetings again. WE NEED EVERYBODY INVOLVED !! This month, our program will feature our SC Division Heritage Defense Chairman, Don Gordon. Don is a past commander of the Wade Hampton Camp #273, is the founder of Radio Free Dixie, and has been directly involved in defending numerous assaults on our Southern Heritage. He has a monthly 2 hour segment on The Andy Thomas Show, discussing Southern history and heritage, as related to current events such as the NCAA boycott of collegiate post-season athletic events in SC and MS. Besides all that, Don is a terrific speaker, and I guarantee he'll getcha fired up !! So, PLEASE, everyone, spread the word of our new "home", and mark down March 15 on your calendar. While you're at it, go ahead and mark the 3rd Thursday of every month this year for your McGowan Camp meeting. REMEMBER, IT'S YOUR DUTY... Seeya on the 15th at the Legion Post in Clinton !! |

| Fifty years ago our government
had the wisdom to adopt "In God We Trust" as our national motto. More recently
the Ten Commandments have been removed and banned from our courthouses
and other public places. A few months ago the ACLU won their bid to silence
prayer at Oconee County Council meetings, they threaten that they will do
the same to the Seneca city council. It is time to pray for more wisdom! |
