| APRIL 17th MEETING Greenville Attorney, David Rutledge, great-great
grandson of Micah Jenkins, will be our April guest speaker. David has agreed
to bring memorabilia related to the Jenkins' family including actual correspondence
from Micah Jenkins as well the newspaper clipping of his death. He has also
agreed to bring a lot of original family photographs related to the family.
I'm sure this will be a very interesting program.
SCRAPBOOK Camp Adjutant Dever Ray Martin has done
an excellent job with the McGowan Scrapbook over the past 2 years.
His work and dedication has won 2 First place awards and Ribbons of recognition
for our Camp Flag.
While he is quite capable of continuing with this workload, he has solicited and taken on an assistant for the next scrapbook project. McGowan Camp compatriot Thomas Ramsay is the “official” McGowan Camp photographer. Thank you Tom for your willingness to participate in this important Camp project.
